Absolutely delicious. We got the Egusi with fufu and the jollof rice with chicken. Everything was delicious and quite filling. The chicken was especially flavorful and tasty. Excited to come back again and try some of the other things on the menu. It did take a while to order and get the food but easily worth it.

I was actually going to leave my review when I came across a lady’s review, and I couldn’t help but talk about it in mine. I happened to be there at the same time, and my experience couldn’t have been more different.
First off, my food was amazing! The coconut rice was absolutely perfect full of flavor and not overcooked at all. I had the egusi too, and I thought it was spot on the right amount of spice and but not enough palm oil for my liking. Nevertheless it was still delicious. I also had the vegetable soup, and whew 😋 it was mouthwatering. No complaints on the food at all.

Also, I saw that interaction was mentioned with the guy who came in for a pickup funny how people can jump to conclusions. From what I saw, they definitely did know each other. He came in alone, they greeted each other, laughed a bit, and she even asked him about his wife and his trip. It looked like a friendly exchange to me, not awkward or rude at all. so it’s funny how people can jump to conclusions in reviews.

Also, she did answer your question about the meat pies. I remember her clearly telling you the other girl helping would be back in a second to check and she did.

And about the kitchen I caught a glimpse too. What I saw was fresh ingredients being blended looked like onions, bell peppers, tomatoes all real, fresh stuff. Of course it’s going to look a little messy when food is being made in real time. Let’s be honest when you’re cooking a big meal, is your kitchen spotless the whole way through? Probably not. Personally, I appreciated knowing my food was being made fresh.

The woman who served us I believe her name was Miss Ameerah (not sure if I’m spelling it right) was actually great , and she was just as warm and welcoming to me and my boyfriend as she was to you even though she wasn’t the one taking your order . Honestly, the staff have always been outstanding whenever I visit.
To be honest, I also noticed that the reviewer was being really unpleasant toward the staff. Her tone and questions came off as aggressive even to me, and I was just another customer. Yet, the staff especially the lady taking her order stayed calm and professional the whole time.
Everyone has different experiences, sure, but this review feels way off from what really happened. My visit was great, and I’ll definitely be going back.

I know this is a lot but this restaurant and the staff deserve way more than what that lady left as a review.
❤️❤️❤️

Ordered phone online for pickup. I’ve had this food before from this place but this visit was pure garbage, waste of money. Maybe I asked too many questions that made them give me poor food because the egusi seemed like scraps from somebody leftovers. Container was not full of soup but definitely food of palm oil and pumpkin seeds. There was no need at all for the pounded yams to scoop the soup with, there was nothing to scoop. And it made me sick literally, stomach still disgusted and icky.

The coconut rice was the okay, nothing to brag about, rice a bit overcooked. Definitely couldn’t enjoy it after the egusi scraps I was given.

Asked a girl who worked there how long does a pie take, she replied she didn’t know, let her check but never gave an answer after she was supposedly to check. Same girl attempted to help another customer who walked in for pickup, he gave the pickup name and she was just staring at him after, he thought she may have knew him so he spoke and she replies I’m looking at you because I don’t know you to know what you ordered…rude as hell…she could’ve stayed in the back!

Got a peek in the kitchen, DISGUSTING, if any of you see the conditions of the kitchen and the ingredients, you wouldn’t eat there again!

This is a gem of a restaurant, serving authentic made-to-order African food. I’d been here before with a friend and decided to take my sister. Our server was Erica and she was super efficient and friendly, guiding us through our selections. We ordered Joloff rice and chicken with fried plantains and it was delicious! My sister also ordered a hot, spicy soup with fish that she couldn’t stop raving about. Love this little unassuming joint and will return!

This is my second time coming to this restaurant. They did not have moi moi again and also the efo, had way too much palm oil. I literally had to drain it off of my plate. In my personal opinion they are over priced and not consistent.
