I am puzzled by lots of people's comments on pricing. I tried all the Chinese restaurants in Kingwood. And all of it is so bad. They cooked my green beans fresh and egg-foo young on point.

The lady who works the front desk is rude, mean and pushy.

We order a few times a month. For the most part all is good, but it never fails when we order soup we order crispers. They either do not include them or will short us one of the two bags. Tonight it was both bags. Two qts of soup, 2 bags. Simple. It’s the little things, that bums me out. Wish I could say that that’s it, but it’s hit and miss with some foods being greasy, egg rolls worst offenders.
Maybe I’m remembering the old Hunan Gardens Restaurant with rosy color glasses. Our family would gather there for specials meals. Henry, the beloved waiter would tell us we ordered too much, but man the leftovers were so good.
I love the Orange Beef and the fact that in the things I order I can choose the heat level, I’m able to have vegetables left out of dishes (makes for keeping them for future meals easy to reheat, nothing worst the old broccoli in a dish).
But the damn crispers……

General TSO was excellent. The luncheon special was very large. It came with 2 large scoops of brown rice & a crispy, flavorful egg roll. Fried dumplings were very tasty. Delivery was speedy. I requested a can of Diet Coke and the can arrived well Insulated with thick layers of paper that kept it very cold.
I really appreciated their attention to detail, making sure that everything was just right!

The food has really gone down hill. I ordered dark meat chicken and got this dry nasty white meat chicken. I put in for extra spicy and got no spice. Used to frequent Hunan all the time but they have just gone down hill.

Inedible. Every dish is so covered in garlic, by the handful, it’s all you can taste. When you ask that they leave it out, they charge you a special order fee. And they’re not exactly cheap to begin with. Received this hot mess of cashew chicken via DoorDash. Yep, they added the special order fee to remove the garlic and this is what I got. Can’t even give the chicken to the dog cause…garlic. $16.45 plus tax literally down the drain.
I ordered the rib appetizer that comes with 4 ribs for almost $10. This is the 3rd time I've had an issue with their ribs. I received 2 full size juicy ribs and 2 dried out rib pieces. The meat on those are dry and tough, you can't eat them.
I did not call to complain because they just argue and gaslight you when you do. I wish they were consistent with their food. I order my rice with no spice when kids are eating it and mild spice when it's just me. The rice was so spicy, I could not eat it at all, so I called to let them know. She proceeds to look at my previous orders in the system and tell me it's cause I always order it with no spice so I'm just not used to their spice. I was like lady, I'm mexican. I can do spice!
I used to order 1 to 2 times a month but it's down to 1 to 2 this year.

I really wanted to have a good take out Chinese restaurant close by. I was sorely disappointed!!! I placed the order for my dad who hasn't had Chinese food in a long while as well as myself. We live separately so I texted him to apologize for the food being so bad. Full disclosure I don't know how his tasted but when I went back to his apartment later in the afternoon it was all still sitting on the table as if it wasn't edible either.
First, this order was not cheap. We purchased sweet and sour chicken, 2 side soups, accidentally ordered 3 bags of their fried noodles for the soups (didn't complain as I could share with the kids), and chicken fried rice. The noodles for the soups were beyond stale! Rock hard and could not chew them. I had called to complain right away. Stunk because we didn't even need them and I paid for them. Then, I sat down to eat some of the chicken fried rice. It tasted as if it were completely burned. Really inedible. Even my 13 year old son who went to eat some complained and boys will pretty much eat anything.
Again, I REALLY wanted to love, heck even like, this place as a local. But there is no way I would go back, especially for the price paid. The 5 for service is not due to helping on the terrible order but because I asked to have the order bagged in two separate bags so my dad could get his home with his walker.

This place used to be much better. Lats time I ordered, the price was several dollars more per item that what their website states. Quality has went down hill, do not recommend.

I’ve never been more disappointed. I will never spend another dime with this establishment. I literally thought the beef in the Pepper Steak was chicken. Three bites…threw it all away. I could complain, but it won’t change anything. When it’s this bad, there is no going back.
The food is delicious! Very busy place but run very efficiently. So glad this place exists when I absolutely need good fried rice!
