I love love love hungry farmers my husband got a chopped beef baked potato I got the deluxe fries and my got the chopped beef sandwich the food was absolutely horrible $44.23 down the drain and because I’m didn’t take a picture I won’t get refunded I’m very disappointed in the food I was so ready to eat it and I did cause I wasn’t wasting our money but they will never ever get me again

My friend asked why order a burger at a BBQ place ? Because I remember it being really good.. I was sorely disappointed 😞 I can only guess the meat was frozen and still frozen after it was cooked because it was rock hard As you can see by the picture it was a perfect cut the burger just stayed solid not to mention the overly toasted bun , it was basically toast My buddy ordered the 1/2 chk and loved it oh well

Went to place an order to go. Bake potato with turkey and the potatoe skin at the bottom was burned usually it’s not and also ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it came out super dry … in the past everything was great.. check your orders before you leave.. I hope Hungry Farmers is loosing their touch!!

This is not really the place if you're seeking authentic pit smoke BBQ. The meat tastes more like oven baked. However, other items offered like chicken fried steak, ox tails and rice, cornbread, hamburgers, fries, baked potato, desserts are really good. This place is better for soul food. Portions are generous and they have a welcoming staff that's always friendly

I ordered the chicken fried steak after returning to Houston after being gone for 6 years expecting all to be as it once was and I was disappointed that what I was served was what I refer to as a “fake steak.” Not a tenderized beef cutlet battered and fried on the premises. As a former cafe owner I know that areal chicken fried steak can be labor intensive and messy, but …..

After 1 year I opened a Nationwide Insurance agency at I45 & Crosstimbers. The Hugry Farmer was few doors down in the Strip Center, so I would have lunch there once or twice a. At that time the food was decent.
I am not sure what happened but the quality of the food has definitely deteriorated. Based on our last visit I will never eat or recommend this establishment to anybody else!
Literally everything that they served needed seasoning. The collard greens came out of a can. While the BB wasn't bad everything else's was horrible!

The Jambalaya rice is on point. The brisket, chicken fried steak, mac and cheese, coleslaw slaw, cornbread, and potatoes were bland and off putting. The BBQ sauce is sweet, but otherwise flavorless.
We spent 60.00 on this meal and managed a few bites of each thing. I left it in a friend's fridge. I gave her the Mac and cheese after not eating for 3 days due to strep and more than half was still in the container 2 days after we left her house. The only way to heat this was with the assistance of the D9. We still left over half a lb of brisket behind.

Brisket sandwich was dry sauce wasn’t good. Baked potatoes with one small scoop of brisket. Called and spoke with the manager. Got every excuse! Will not be eating there again. 🤢
