One final visit to Ibiza before they closed ?Grilled catch of the day and pulpo a la planchaThe latter is still the most tender Portuguese-style octopus I’ve had in Houston.I’ll miss this place as it is (was!) one of my go-to restaurants in downtown.

Half the food was spectacular and half was terrible. Service gets 5 stars. Overall we enjoyed our meal, just wish we’d skipped some dishes. The Must Haves: Crispy Tabasco Shrimp, Grilled Octopus, Ravioli Special and Buttermilk Pound CakeThe Don’t Waste Your Money: Jamon Iberico, Cheese Board, Any Pizza

There was one person seated in the whole restaurant and we waited five minutes at the door to even be acknowledged, let alone seated, while about 11 employees stood around chatting like school girls. We were eventually asked if we had a reservation. Does it matter if you have no patrons? We were seated by the door and after waiting even longer for our drink orders to be taken and fulfilled. My husband decided to just leave and go across the street to Gloria’s. Never had any of the food but based on service, we won’t be back.

We love this restaurant. Superior food and service and great, fair priced wine. So sorry they will be closing in February. We Will be back as often as we can until then!

I never leave reviews but my family and I have been coming here for years. From the food to the service everything is outstanding.

A very mediocre experience. We got a plate of Jamon Iberico. You can tell it came out of a packet somewhere and it was not freshly carved which is what I was expecting. The octopus was swimming in oil, it was barely edible. I got a glass of the German riesling, thinking it would be on the dry side and the server didn't say anything. It was like drinking an apple juice. I then asked the server for a glass of sauvignon blanc. He brought me a glass of sancere which I like but it's what he said that shocked. "it's like the French sauvignon blanc!" Oh you didn't just say that. He explained every dish as if I was a regular at Appleby's. No, you don't need to explain things that way to me. If felt very patronizing and not a good experience. Then he came back 15 times to check on us, just wouldn't leave us alone! Kept trying to start conversation. No thank you! I am here to enjoy a nice meal with my family and not making new friends. Pls stick to your lane. I would avoid this place at all cost.

Charles and his staff provided exceptional personalized service and delicious small plates & entrees. The extensive wine list is very reasonably priced. Highly recommend & cannot wait to return!

The Tenderloin was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked how I like it. Mac and cheese, rich and creamy, Yum!

It's a very classic, classy place. It's a shame it's closing very soon. The food I would say is 3 to 4 stars, but the service has always been 5. I've never had a bad experience here. It's got a great patio and view of midtown. It will be missed.

Sad to hear this place is closing. What a spectacular experience we had. From excellent service to scrumptious food, this restaurant had it all. Green pepper and crab bisque was mouth watering. Goat cheese and chili oil appetizer was smooth as well. Entrees were elegant and well crafted. And the dessert, butterscotch pot de creme... Wow
