The food was good. Good sized portions. The fried rice was unique and delicious. Service wasnt as attentive, however it was getting close to closing so I will give them a pass. Atmosphere definitely gave Japanese vibes. 7/10 would recommend

Ordered the rainbow roll and what a disappointment it was. Skin was left on two pieces, From tuna to crab, it was okay but the pieces on the right tasted a bit bad and almost no fish. Everything was too close together. Place smelled bad, like mold too. Would not recommend it.

The REAL is that this 5 star food in a 2 star area of Houston. Nicknamed “Gunspoint” because of all of the previous gun violence and sketchy neighborhoods in the surrounding area.
NOT TO WORRY… this entire strip is 24/7 monitored by private security and the strip center hasn’t had an issue in years. I worked in this strip for almost 10 years and the food in this area is amazing… but the area right outside of this strip is still sketchy.
GEN Z - looking for a friend hangout or a good evening experience… look no further than this hidden gem!

I've been looking for a Japanese restaurant equivalent to the Japanese restaurant in Carnival Cruise Bonsai...Ichibon is very close. My waiter was so polite, and attentive, without being overbearing...plus candy to my daughter's eyes. My 2 children and I were not disappointed. It was my 15 y.o. daughter who suggested Ichibon and our 1st time sitting down to enjoy our meal. It was around 830pm, so not a huge crowd. Perfect.

A great sushi restaurant, where you can also sample some Japanese liqor/beer (this is also part of tourism, right?).
I dined at this great place during lunch hours (1-2pm), it had groups of workmates from the nearby offices.
The service was excellent, the hostesses and waiters were good at explaining the meals or drinks. And, the fair prices for such culinary skills (open kitchen?).
