Best Italian restaurant I’ve gone to in Houston, it’s the only restaurant I’ve found where I’m able to speak to the waiters in Italian.
The quality of the food is similar to what i experienced when I traveled throughout Italy, they import most of their ingredients.

I have searched for authentic Italian pizza and finally found it here. The margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella is true perfection. I always try this version first because it’s the best test, simple but wonderful when made right. We will be back!

We went to Imperio Italiano in Houston to celebrate something personal, and this ended up being one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had. They started us off with bread and olive oil, which should be simple, but the bread was stale and the oil tasted bad. That set a bad tone, and unfortunately, it only went downhill from there. We ordered a lasagna bolognese and a pizza to share. Both were well below average. The lasagna, especially, was bland and flavorless. We couldn’t even finish them. The biggest surprise was when we asked for lemonade and were given a bottled version from the supermarket. For a sit-down restaurant, that felt careless and honestly insulting. The decor might look nice, but the food doesn’t live up to it at all. What should have been a special night ended up being ruined by bad food and careless choices. I won’t be back.

Impero Italiano is hands-down one of the best Italian spots in Houston! The food is authentic and absolutely delicious—we tried the Margherita pizza and the clam pasta and both tasted like they came straight from Italy. Hands down, this is the best Neapolitan style pizza in Houston. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with unique decor that makes the place feel special.
Service is outstanding too—our server went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and you can tell the staff really cares about creating a great experience. Even when it gets busy, they’re attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend making a reservation because the restaurant is small and gets packed quick. They allow walk-ins but no last minute reservations.
If you’re craving real Italian food with amazing hospitality, this is the place. Highly recommend!
