I had one of the most disappointing customer service experiences at Insomnia Cookies recently. When I walked into the store, the associate didn’t acknowledge me at all—not a greeting, not even a smile. She just sat there and stared at me like I was interrupting her day. I took the initiative and said, “Hello,” trying to lighten the mood, and she responded coldly with, “How can I help you?”

Trying to keep things friendly, I asked how her day was going. She ignored the question completely and repeated again, “How can I help you?” The tone and attitude made it clear she didn’t want to be there, and she definitely didn’t want to help. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and honestly, it put a bad taste in my mouth before I even placed an order.

A place known for comfort food should at least serve a little courtesy.

They move very slowly and at their leisure; although I think there was only one person working there.

I visited your location today at 5:00 p.m. and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with customer service. The employee at the counter (the one wearing a headband) approached the counter while on her phone and immediately had an unprofessional attitude. When I began speaking to her, she responded with even more attitude.
I understand that everyone can have a rough day, but when you're at work, personal emotions should be kept in check. If she was unable to provide respectful service, she should have called someone else to the front.
Rather than escalate the situation, I chose to leave. As I was walking out, I heard her say, “This job is so annoying,” which only confirmed the lack of professionalism. I truly hope she finds a better fit if this one is so frustrating, but in the meantime, customers deserve better.

I usually LOVE insomnia cookies. This was my first time ordering from this location and I used Uber Eats. First of all, DONT use uber eats because insomnia has their own delivery service and you can’t see where your order is or how far away it is. Use DoorDash, if you must. Secondly, I never received the order.

I called the store to initially ask them where the delivery person was because THEY can see where they are, but the customer can’t. She said give it time. I was outside for over 30 min from the arrival time and never got contacted by a delivery person. Never saw anyone looking for anyone either. I did see a man in a grey Honda that was sitting in the lot - never got out the car - pulled off after a little while and appeared to be eating something. I’m convinced he ate my $20 order.

I immediately called the store. Can’t call them from the uber app but thankfully I was able to call from google maps. The lady that answered the phone said that uber support could call them to verify. When uber support called, because I’m an uber one customer, the store never answered their call. I can’t leave photos or videos because I never received the order. Thankfully, uber refunded my money and gave me an additional credit. Very low likelihood I order from here again

Shoutout to David! Despite the line being out of the door, him basically being alone, and it being uncomfortably hot in the establishment he was still pleasant.

Houston’s worst kept secret among night owls, stoners, drinkers, vampires, zombies, and weirdos.

Once you’re in the know, all your friends will follow suit, as it’s really one of the best ideas never done in a long time.

If you’ve ever experienced have a need, someone smart will figure out how to satisfy, so hats off the the owners at Insomnia Cookies *cough cough* haha

Nestled perfectly in the bosom of the Rice Village sector, the neon lighting is like a projection from another realm adding the promise of sweet satisfaction and saccharine overload!

Very little parking, but luckily the business relies more on delivery orders and the patrons are usually scurrying back to their smoke filled dens with cartoons projecting godlike shadows on the walls.

The cookies are simple, delicious, and done right. My favorite happens to be the sugar cookie with m&ms, or the snickerdoodle, pair it with ice cream if you want contrasting textures or consistency. They also have brownies and a few other options as well.

There’s no need to complicate what is already god-tier and this business will skyrocket to the heavens and create imitators in their wake. So are you hungry? Do you like sweets? Can you not get up? Order some cookies and get your life together, you make me sick! Haha
