I went on a Saturday morning and understandably the restaurant was pack and im sure this place has been around a while butIt simply doesn't make since to have a waitress in different areas especially when they are so busyWe arrived sat ourselves in a packed restaurant we waited a bit before our drink order was taken then the waitress brought 4 coffees and only 2 waters because they ran out of glassesShe took our order and when food came out someone else brought food out, no silverware and our waitress was across room servicing another table when we noticed it was a while before they brought rest of our food and when the same person brought out the rest of our orderI politely suggested that having our waitress in a different area when being so busy wasnt a great ideaI told her we needed our toast, coffee refill, a waffle still not out, SILVERWARE, and after that she had an attitude bring our items requested, and suddenly our waitress appears back to our table to see if we needed anythingSo if you cant take constructive criticism, or advise without attitude, then ill make my recommendation in my review because my food was not hot by the time i got my silverware, the pancakes were not big as another customers states in another review and were o k but not great, bacon was hard and atmosphere would have been pleasant had the lady bringing out food not had an attitude and sour face when i suggested the the waitresses have tables in the same area as so they could observe what a table might need. I was visiting from out of town and my family who lives here in houston recommended this place and likes it, but i will be suggesting another restaurant on my next visit and will not be returning to this one !!

I wasn't going to leave a review until I saw that someone else complained about some of the same issues I encountered. Help Wanted sign posted on front door, and understandably so. In the short time I was there I witnessed the owner yelling at 2 different employees, and talking with customers about her own employees. She says they were rude but the only person I saw being rude was her. They say it's because she is older. If that is the case, then it's time to close up shop or pass it down to another family member who can respect their own staff. Steak was tough and bland, and they didn't have A-1 sauce like they used to. This place left a bad taste in my mouth in more ways than one.

This place is crowded on the weekends so parking is at a premium. The good news is that people are paying and leaving so just be patient. The bacon was so crisp; man! I got the French toast and a side of hash browns. The portions were large and the customers were friendly which is a large plus for me. It's a mix of all kinds, young and more senior like me. Plenty of families. It looks small when you walk in but there is a side room. Stop and enjoy!

I've been eating here for many years. And I have to say I've enjoyed it most all the time. But of late the food seems to have been lacking a bit and the inside of the cafe has become dated and worn. I know times are hard and money is short but a little bit of effort to fix some of the accommodations would be good. And the extra bathroom needs to be repaired..
