Well food was good but portions were super small. BROWN stew chicken got one thigh cut up for $16 not a leg quarter a piece of a thigh. Riceand peas was good Mac needed cream or milk. Wings were bland. Fish was great but an upcharge for fish. The cakes were good. People were nice too outdoor seating mostly. Egg rolls can be skipped dry no flavor ,meat pies decent.

My first time eating here spending over $130.00 worth of food & was not worth even half of my food order! The oxtails were salty & not given any gravy in which I paid for extra gravy for each of my entrees with my oxtail plates! My son had the oxtail cheesesteaks in which he has dined here numerous if times ! This time I tagged along but, won’t be wasting my money at this establishment NO MORE!👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿

Jamican Pon Di Road is a wonderful neighborhood spot. Parking can be a little tight depending on the time of day. They do not have a dine in area but if the weather is nice customers can dine on the porch or covered picnic tables on the lawn. The food is flavorful and the portions are generous. I can't recommend one dish over the other because everything is good. It will depend on what you are in the mood for. Either way you won't regret giving them a try.

I was truly excited to try this place! An oxtail sandwich sounds amazing. However the sandwich was ok but, $80 for 2 sandwiches and fries is crazy work! The service was ok, the taste decent. I may just be out of touch with Texas food prices. 🤑

I visited your restaurant on Saturday 4/25/26 and was disappointed with my experience. Upon arrival, I was told at the register that no orders would be taken for about 45 minutes to an hour. While I understand wait times happen, the communication felt dismissive and unclear. I had driven over 45 minutes specifically to eat here, and it would have been more helpful to be told there was a wait rather than that orders weren’t being taken at all. The interaction made me feel undervalued as a customer. I believe this could have been handled with more professionalism and better customer consideration.

I had to stop here while I was in Houston, and it did not disappoint. The oxtail cheesesteak was amazing rich, flavorful, and incredibly tender, with the meat seasoned perfectly and cooked to a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Every bite was packed with flavor. The beef patty was also really good savory, well-seasoned, and satisfying. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. This is definitely one of those spots you’re glad you didn’t miss while in the city.

Incredible food! Our group tried several different dishes and everything was delicious. The Jerk Chicken, Mac & Cheese, and plantains were standouts. You can really taste the quality and the spice in every bite. 10/10 would recommend if you're craving real Caribbean flavor
