JOK BAL - 족발

Jokbal is an authentic and popular Korean dish cooked with pig's trotter(long front feet). We cook the meat with a combination of 12 different, secret ingredients. Jokbal contains a lot of gelatin and is believed to promote firm, wrinkle-free skin. The amino acid methionine, found in pork, is claimed to counteract the effects of alcohol and relieves hangovers.

Bossam is a type of Ssam and is a Korean dish that is eaten with boiled (or steamed) pork belly meat wrapped in lettuce. It is one of the dishes that Koreans look for when drinking soju. Boiling meat without blood and oil is the biggest feature of BoSsam meat, but some chain stores don't boil it for oil flavor. When they boil pork belly meat, they use ginger to remove the pork smell of the meat itself. When you eat BoSsam, dip it in a shrimp sauce and put some ssamjang (soybean paste sauce), sliced garlic, green pepper together and wrap it in lettuce or sesame leaves. It is also common to eat with radish kimchi.

M4. YangPyung ShinNae HaeJangKuk 양평 신내 해장국
Special recipe beef broth soup with cabbage, bean sprout, pork blood cake, beef honeycomb tripe, and couple of jalapeno slices. Garnished with chopped green onion and hot chili oil (your preference). Served with a bowl of rice, and side dishes(BanChan).
M5. Dda Gui HaeJangKuk 따귀해장국
Beef neck bone soup with soft meat on the beef neck bones, cabbage, bean sprout, and a couple of jalapeno slices. Garnished with chopped green onion and black pepper. Served with a bowl of rice, and side dishes(BanChan).

came here with my family for a late lunch early dinner, planty of seats was sat down right away, the server was very friendly, we ordered 3 of their soup dishes and an iron plated grilled short rib, plus the mid sized Wang Jokbal, the soups were just ok, I've tasted better Korean soup, now the Wang Jokbal's size was HUGE, if that is medium, i hate to find out what large is, it tasted pretty good. So i wouldnt drive all the way here just to eat at this restaurant, but...

Atmosphere is great, relax no preassure from the waiters to eat fast. Food needs to be improved, need more taste to it. It was pretty flat taste. Other korean restaurant taste better
Service is ok but the waiters need more smiling. 4 adults and 4 kids (6, 4,4 and 7months, they charged 18% tips included.
3 dishes total with tips $130.

Have been here for several times! Food is legit and authentic! Service is good too! The Jokbal and Bossam are “must-order”s. Kukbam and haejuntang are also yummy. Big portion with decent price - I can’t see any complaints about this place.

I saw that most bad reviews were about the “slow service “ during the soft opening, which I also have experienced the 1st time I stepped into this restaurant. BUT now they are extremely professional and friendly!...
