This is honestly one of my top ramen places that I've tried in Houston. I had heard that the ramen here is very authentic, so I had to try it out for myself. I came here on a week night for dinner, and unfortunately, they were a bit understaffed. There appeared to be only one server for all of the tables, so it did take a while for him to take our order. I'm writing this review a few months later from when I tried this restaurant, so I hope that has changed now. He was very friendly though. I tried the tonkotsu gachi ramen. It was VERY delicious and flavorful. It didn't feel overly heavy like some other ramen places that I've tried. I can say that this does taste pretty authentic. I like the location of this place too because I live around here, and it's easy access for people around the medical center to go to. I hope this place stays here for a while! I would absolutely come back.

Our new favorite ramen spot. Yes - it is a little more pricey than some - but we got excellent service (this is our second visit and he remembered my son's food allergies) and very tasty ramen!!

I'm so happy for this place. We live nearby and loved a ramen spot in Chinatown that recently closed down. Service was great, ambiance is modern Japanese. Love the whole history of the word Gachi written on the wall! Ramen Tonkotsu *reg 3/5 Kyoto style? The ramen broth is more gray rather than milky yellowy white like most places. I love the fact you can ask for firm noodle texture and less fatty broth or fattier broth. It was ok for me. I guess it isn't the style I like tho when I first made ramen at home, my broth ended up looking and tasting like this style. Thick soup, definitely not watered down, slirping soup. But regardless, I'd get it again but will request the yellow wavy noodles. Chicken 5/5 Get is regular style and no hot bomb. It is amazing on its own! Tastes like free range hens and perfect egg flavor as well! Their soft boiled egg is one of the best I've tasted. Definitely packed with the umami. Sides Fries, non spicy 5/5 We ordered two sets of these because they are tiny. But so flavorful and if you don't know what umami is, eat a fry and you'll know. Karaage regular 4/5 Loved this so much. Lightly battered and ultra crispy skin, juicy chicken bits with a generous amount of lemony mayo. Squeeze more lemon on it for best experience! Tea cups are nice for hot tea!!! I love their chopsticks as well!!! Will be back!

I was excited to try the ramen here since there are so many 4+ star reviews. The Vegan Miso Gachi ramen was good, the broth was tasty but black garlic oil also made it slightly bitter and some toppings to balance that would have elevated the overall flavor. The noodles were also 2x the quantity of other toppings whereas I have been to other ramen places that have a good mix of the two. There was no protein such as tofu or egg as an add-on option either.

This is by far the only Ramen in US that reminds me of the one in Japan (I am Japanese).Their Tonkotsu soup and the noodle (you can even order “Katame” less cook which is wonderful) were fantastic, with only one bite, I felt like I was in Japan. The establishment was simple, clean, cozy. Service was good, definitely the only ramen shop that I want to go back again! As soon as I took a bite, I was reminded of Hakata ramen! It's by far the best in Houston ? I've eaten a lot of ramen in America, but this is the only place that has the taste of tonkotsu.Recommended for all Japanese people. The fried chicken and winged gyoza were also delicious.

Such a hidden gem! We discovered Gachi last week and have already been there twice, we especially like Takoyaki appetizer and Vegan Miso Ramen. The prices are affordable and the vibe is very cute, modern, clean, and peaceful. Service is friendly and fairly quick as well. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner!

The ramen here is pretty tasty. Im not a huge ramen girl, but this little hole in the wall hits the spot. The location and the ambiance is nice lit. It gives off a romantic but trendy feel. The music was fun and our waitress was super sweet and friendly. She had this cool tattoo on her arm! Which she joked about! She was super attentive and gave us recommendations on which pairings would go best with certain broths! Will definitely be back for the amazing chicken karaage!

I’m very much enjoying this new place and glad they are here. I love the ramen and they have some interesting side items. I think the ambience and the acoustics could be a little warmer and cozier. I wish they were open more. Closed on Mondays don’t open till 1130 and closed after lunch/before dinner. I think a larger more flexible lunch hour would be a good idea especially being close to the Medcenter when a lot of people leave work around 3pm.
