My wife and I have been going here for years once or twice a week. Since they stopped giving veterans and the elderly free drinks which cost them between 10-15 cents, we only visit once every other month. This time we went it was 62 degrees outside but colder inside. Everybody was wearing jackets or sweaters even one of the cooks had a jacket on. I asked if they would turn on the heat. No luck. I noticed not too many people eating. We left.

It seems to be the last of the "make-your-own" salad bar. We love to eat the salad. Also, the baked potatoes are huge. Several of the sandwiches are yummy.

Stopped for dinner and had the Southwest Chicken Chili and was highly disappointed with my meal. It arrived lukewarm...not hot. Decided to forego my meal and have an ice cream cone and then headed to the Men's room to wash my hands. The door to the Men's room was extremely dirty and smeared but to my surprise it was even worse inside. Everything was so nasty that it looked like it had never been cleaned... or maintained. I swiftly exited hoping I hadn't picked up anything looking for a free ride out of the squalor.

If you want quality and healthy food, I recommend this place, their salad bar is fresh, and the sandwiches are very delicious. The only but does not concern the restaurant, but the customers, when the salads are being served, throw away the dressing, or the vegetables. And the lady in charge is constantly cleaning her area, and still serves with an excellent humor. The ones I frequent are the ones located at 290 and Mason Rd. In Cypress Tx And fm529 and hwy 6,. Houston tx. They are the closest to me.
Dietary restrictions: You can order your sandwiches to your liking, if you are vegan, if you have allergies, etc.
