Java Owl Coffee House

This morning was tough — doctor’s appointment, bloodwork, and chemo. Today marked 10 out of 20 chemo rounds in my fight against breast cancer. Afterward, I decided to treat myself to one of my favorite coffee shops, Java Owl. I’ve shared with them before that I am a boxer, and today I showed up in my Gator Boxing shirt and boxing necklace. I ordered my usual — a hot latte with coconut hazelnut and oat milk — and grabbed some chorizo empanadas too. I didn’t realize how much I needed a little boost until I saw the note they wrote: “Chorizo empanadas for the fighting Queen.” They probably meant it because of boxing, but little did they know I had just walked out of chemo, feeling drained and fighting a much bigger battle. It meant more than they could know. Thanks for being the kind of place that lifts people’s spirits without even realizing it. It mattered today.

The outdoor seating is perfect for the fall weather. The vibes are immaculate and the cold brew + meisenger latte were both delicious. Service was great and welcoming with their recommendations! I had the intrusive thought of downvoting this place just to gatekeep this spot, but this places deserves your love!

Always some of the best espresso drinks around. My favorites are the Cortado and Undertow. Always fantastic service!!

The Java Owl was pretty easy to navigate to, even after parking in the way back of an office space next door. The coffee and customer service were great. They had a lot of board games and books in the seating area to keep you entertained if you forgot your laptop, and all the staff was friendly and helpful. They also had beer and wine to keep you happy, if you weren't in the mood for coffee, and a delightful selection of treats to eat. I will definitely stop by again. Oh they also had an in house piano, if you like to play.

Clean, friendly, cool vibe. Easy parking. I had orange tea. They bring in special projects, too. Artists, dancers - you never know what cool thing will be there. Owner is super nice.

Down from Dallas visiting this weekend, we wanted some coffee so we stopped by this shop. The atmosphere was very cute and the staff was very attentive and pleasant. If I'm ever back in this area again we will definitely be coming back for great coffee!!
