this place is fine if you go in person, but don't order delivery from them.I've ordered twice from them in the last 2 weeks and both times I had a missing meal, a missing drink and any options I selected ignored.Frustrating for sure.

Yuk. Greasy. Indigestion. No where close to the original. I broughy to attention the fact that the tots were so greasy I could not eat them. I was met with a blank stare.

I must admit, this place was a relic and its image and menu have been revamped improved and brought into the 21st century palate, well some palates... Not everyone enjoys what they had before nor what they now have in addition to the old stand by "coneys and Frito Poe's some people don't eat hotdogs, but for those of us who do... Its still great tasting nostalgia of which your gastroenterologist might also disapprove

Its been a while since I've been to a JCI. Had the grandkids today and that's what they wanted. The place was super clean and the staff was very friendly. The burger was a little on the greasy side, my footlong was on point. The bread was fresh.

Is changed hands of course from its original owners, the Pappas Brothers... Still though, I like to eat here. It is an iconic Houston comfort food loved by millions. You simply cannot recreate their chili. If you want it, you have to buy it here!

Hate to give 2 stars but the cashier was VERY VERY rude. Food is good but not going back anytime soon. Not worth being treated like that.

Can't go wrong with jci dogs. This is some good stuff. Would have gotten 5 stars but the onion rings I got weren't seasoned. The normal jci I go too seasons them.

Pretty pricey for such small dogs. Not that great. Not even Vienna beef. Even Costco is better.

Food is always good here. Service is quick and the dining area is clean.

JCI has been outstanding for the 30+ years I've lived in Houston. The food may ultimately kill me but it's very tasty.
