Heartbroken to see this place is permanently closed. Agree with another reviewer they had the BEST egg rolls and wonton soup. I would have ordered all the egg rolls my last visit if I had known. Hoping to see them come back :(

Ordered through Uber Eats on a visit to the Texas Medical Center. It was tasty, but a little different than what I am used to. We had the chicken with broccoli and the sauce was good, but different. And we had the shrimp lomein. It was a lot of food. We probably could have shared one item. I will try it again on my next trip.

First let me start with the positive: the dining room was clean and customer service was good I ordered the egg foo young I really did not want to order the entree because the portions were too large just for one person and entrees provided more food than I wanted. I preferred to order egg foo young combo but it was not listed as a selection. Egg foo young=4/5 The order came with three large patties I would have given a five if not for only given half a container full of the sauce for patties. With three large patties the cup container should have been full with sauce. Fried rice= 1/5 This was the worst fried rice I have ever tasted it it was tasteless and dry tasting plus the rice had no egg or sprouts peas or carrots it was just rice covered with soy sauce I had to add additional soy sauce to bring to life. Sorry to say my order was not worth almost $13. I had thought about giving this establishment another try and just order off lunch menu but I just can't get past the dry tasteless fried rice. I really hate that the rice was not good and that the egg foo young did not come in smaller portions as this is the only Chinese restaurant that I have noticed that has equally Young on the menu

Ordered delivery by phone bc Uber eats wasn’t working. They were short staffed with drivers and couldn’t deliver. I’m staying at a hotel and instead of just saying no, the owner was so nice and offered to deliver when they close at 8. I took him up on it and he graciously brought the the food.Thank you so much ! Support local !

I ordered from Jimmy Wok for the first time from Uber Eats. My food was extremely soggy and lacked flavor. I was highly disappointed, especially after seeing such good reviews about this place. Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from Jimmy Wok again.

Upon reading through recent reviews on Yelp, I decided to pop in to JW for dinner. I noticed most of the negative comments were from over 2-3 years ago and wanted to see for myself... Jimmy Wok did not disappoint! First of all, my server was an absolute gentleman! He was efficient and friendly but also offered to bundle my order into a combo to save me money and from ordering too much food! (My eyes are always bigger than my stomach or whatever that saying is) I started with a water with lemon and a hot green tea. Both were perfect. I ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls and asked for no pork just shrimp. The rolls were huge. The only reason I was finicky about them was the inclusion of thin red onion slices. I am not a fan of raw red onion and have never had onion in my spring rolls ‍ It was easy enough to pull out and still enjoy the appetizer. There are four large rolls in the order so I took two home. Next I ordered the Happily family (no onion) add a tad of spice upon my servers recommendation and combo-ed it with a cup of wonton soup and white rice. The wonton soup came out hot and fresh and my server even put the tiny sliver green and white onions on the side in case I didn't want it (nice attention to detail because I actually ordered the soup before the entree and he noticed I picked the onions out of my spring rolls). The broth was light instead of beefy and the wontons had a good flavor. My entree came out and it looked awesome but tasted even better! I didn't expect to eat it all, but I did (except for the full portion of rice)! All kinds of yummy veggies including red bell pepper, Chinese cabbage, mushrooms, snap peas, carrots, and broccoli accompanied by shrimp, beef, and chicken in a light brown sauce. After I had finished my plates, my server brought me a small take out container for my spring rolls and a bag to wrap it up. I sat for a bit attempting to enjoy a little more of my green tea (it comes as a whole pot). A few minutes went by and when my server brought my check and a fortune cookie he asked if I would like a cup for my hot tea! I truly appreciated being able to take it with me as there was still about 12 delicious ounces in my teapot! The inside is clean and orderly with a tv playing a prime time show on low volume by the checkout area near the back. Locals were seated in all the booths chatting the entire time I was there and I sat solo in a booth, as well. Other than the condiment containers being a little sticky to the touch and the red onions in the spring rolls, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Jimmy Wok. The parking is fairly easy especially after the great nail shop two doors down closes. Thank you Jimmy Wok for providing great comfort food with friendly service! I'll see you again, soon!

I would have given a 5 if not for only given half of a container full of the sauce for patties. With three large patties, the cup container should have been full with sauce. The egg foo young covered with sauce was delicious; but that which was not covered was bland. Fried rice=1/5. This was the worst fried rice I have ever tasted...it was tasteless, and dry tasting. Plus, the rice had no egg, or sprouts, peas/carrots...it was just rice covered with soy sauce. I had to add additional soy sauce to bring to life. This is another reason for 3/5 stars... usually there would be enough of the egg foo young sauce to put on top of rice for added flavor; but again, I was given very little sauce. Sorry to say, my order was not worth almost $13! I had thought about giving this establishment another try, and just order off lunch menu; but I just can't get past the dry, tasteless fried rice... I need fried rice whenever I eat Chinese food. I really hate that the rice was not good, and that the egg foo young did not come in smaller portions as this is the only Chinese restaurant that i have noticed that has egg foo young on menu.

We always make a trip or two to Jimmy Wok's when in town. Food is amazing and staff is too. They always remember us and ask how the trip over was.

Clean location with good Chinese dishes along with limited Vietnamese options. Service was good. Waiters wear masks still. Portions are a good size. Overall decent experience but only had 2 dishes. Would definitely go back to try more.

Been twice has general chicken and orange chicken. Both were good. Plan on going back and trying other things
