I tried to come to this establishment for one drink later in the evening accompanied by my service dog and was told that dogs werent allowed in the bar area and would have to take him outside. I informed the lone female bartender that he was my service dog not a pet or ESA. She told me he still needed to go out on the patio, I again informed her that he is a service animal who I need that performs tasks for me and its a cold evening so I would not sit outside with him. She said she doesn't own the place and is doing what the owner would want. I again explained that it is illegal to deny me to sit inside because he is a service animal NOT a pet and her response was that she didn't want to have to ask me for papers on him. I told her that is also illegal to ask but that I did carry a copy on me. She told me to leave so I did. This is unacceptable and discriminatory, I really hope they get educated on ADA and federal laws for the future so no one else has to experience what I did this evening who has a service animal

Cool little hangout spot, if you're there on Thursday night they have a great steak night. My recommendation is to get the all meat platter holy moly was that good. An added bonus was they allow dogs on the patio.

If Ernest Hemingway, JRR Tolkien, or CS Lewis were alive today, they’d undoubtedly be regulars here: to socialize, to unwind, and to contemplate life. Johnny McElroys affords that rare balance of quiet charm, draft selections and atmosphere like ones I cherished back when I lived in England.

I frequent here to catch live games with familiar pub snacks, and strike up conversations with laid-back, fun strangers. I also find it just as inviting when I want to read, write, or simply reflect. Add in the awesome staff and bartenders who elevate the experience, and you’ve got a place that feels like a true neighborhood pub :)

p/s: My geriatric dog equally enjoys basking on the spacious tree-lined patio, probably quietly introspecting to ready herself to be a philosopher in her next life!

Bar advertised the Open so came in to catch the first day. Sure wish they would have advertised they don’t have AC! Staff was great but temperature was unbearable.

For the love of God and all that is holy, ask for a SMALL AMOUNT of mustard on your burger. Our bread was soggy because of the despicable amount of mustard in it.

Went here twice in the last two days bc we were at a nearby comedy fest. The bartenders don’t just cater to the regulars which is nice. You can easily get a drink and friendly service even when it’s busy. Really liked this place and will be back!
