What happened to Kaneyama?? Phones are not connected and building is always closed. Could use an update.
Placed an order online, went through, went to store, completely closed. Called the number, out of service. There was two other groups of people there as well wondering what was going on. Outrageous, and honestly the fact that the order went through and now I’m not able to get in touch with anyone just makes me think maybe something else is going on. But hey, I’m just someone who eats at restaurants a lot, what would I know...
God food and service
1st time
This is a great place for sushi. The servers are friendly and attentive, and the menu has a wide variety.
th e food was good, restaurant temperature could have been netter.
One of my favorite places in the area. Great service and food quality.
Best miso soup I have ever had.
The quality of the Japanese salad is mediocre. The recipe have changed and it's not for the better. Told, I'm guessing the manager, he said he'll go and ask them and never did he come back. Poseidon roll is measly and not as robust. Prices are higher and the taste has gone downhill. Very disappointed even though the scallop nigiri is nice and I used to consider this to be one of my favorite places i will not come back.
Not really worth it for the price. The food is just OK. Not completely horrible but not a place I'd waste time and money visiting again. The soup they gave me was near boiling and I burned myself pretty bad. You can find better ramen and fried rice anywhere for half the price. Okonomiyaki is also not on their menu like Google suggest.

The rolls are some of the best in Houston. Highly recommend
Decided to eat here because not everyone does their sushi or Japanese food the same. So I ordered the smoked salmon and I don't know if it was their soy sauce but when I took the first bite, it like exploded in my mouth. (That's a good thing) I had their soup and tasted pretty good. But I felt they were too busy talking to each other to notice I want some more sushi and ready to go. But on the fair side, I was the only one there.
I don't know who thought the ramen here was good, but they are wrong. The pork was overcooked and tough, the fish cakes were rubbery, the eggs were hardboiled, and the noodles & broth seemed like prepackaged products. Decent sushi, though.
HORRIBLE service from the wait staff!!!
Food and service were great.
