Kanpai club, hidden next to everyone's favorite handroll sushi bar is a great place for happy hour or meeting up friends in a small group. And when I say small - I mean small, I think capacity is less than 20 for the entire space. Think a tiny Japanese izakaya without the outdoor seating.
Extensive liquor selection, though some of the rare japanese whisky can get pricey (I'm looking at you Hibiki 21 at 350 a pour). Cocktail menu has a nice selection of Japanese and globally inspired drinks. Didn't have any I didn't like,

I had a really good time at Kanapai Club! And it was very inexpensive. food was fantastic :) definitely a place for just drinks as everyone has said but if you’re feeling up for it I’d definitely give it a try.

Goodness gracious I love this place. I visit every time I’m in town and try to bring a new friend who’s never been. The folks here are friendly and the music is A1. The kitchen pass through window is a delight, much like the food that comes through it. Seems like a fun place to work. If you like whiskey and/or sake, there’s a good collection here. Can’t go wrong.

This place use to be good now it's slow and probably for good reason. The vibe is off the bartenders are slow and the food has become sub par. There goes garaage tast frozen and and was unpalatable as well as there drinks I will not return and will not be recommending to friends

The extremely cramped space was uncomfortable. My margarita was way too salty to drink, but my husband liked his beer.
I didn’t particularly like either of the drinks we ordered, but the atmosphere alone was worth it. Vibe was really chill.

Don't come here late, we came around 11pm just to check out the place and the dude from the sushi area who don't even work in the bar looking at us in a weird way. Idk about the sushi bar but this attitude only already makes me not wanna do anything with the place. Plus super tight space with only bar area

New spot try out, selected by a friend for his bday get together.Enter through Hando, and then use the door on your left to enter Kanpai Club.Have to admit, it blew me away. Didn’t know what I was stepping into, but the flavors here are so elevated with each bite. Then you add in the dipping sauce takes it to another level.We were there at happy hour, so each plate was only $5.00. Can’t beat that!The environment was nice, peaceful, and able to hold a conversation without any issues.Service was on point, attentive, and knowledgeable of the dishes.Can’t wait to go back.Until next time.
