Katz is consistent and reasonably priced. Service can vary as with this particular visit. Our server was a little absent, but we did choose to sit outside whereas the majority of people were inside... nevertheless the spinach artichoke dip is delicious. I got the French dip which was slightly bland, and as you'll see in the picture, I never got the au jus. My husband had a shrimp dish and it was all delicious.. I had the Keylime martini because the server said it was unique...

I have to retract my previous five stars. A subsequent visit with a party of six resulted in sub-par service. I blame the required 18% gratuity (for a party of six or more) added to the bill. If the server knows they're getting 18% there's little incentive for good service. We will still go there, just not with the kids and grand-kids. Which is a little sad because outside of that it was great. They do have good food. For $200 worth of drinks and sandwiches I expect...

I really liked this place. I went early in the morning and was concerned about security, but the parking lot was well lit. The decor inside and outside was very nice. I liked the classic diner decor and the bar in the middle. Food and service were also good and the price was reasonable.
