I had an unpleasant experience yesterday visiting this Katz Deli for "To Go." The waitress who serviced me Evianna had a terrible attitude when i placed my food order, but i ignored it. I ordered dessert after waiting, paid her in cash, and she gave me my change but neglected to give me a receipt. When I asked for my receipt, I was due more money, not much, but it is the principle. I asked for my exact change, and Evianna proceeded to give me 10 pennies, which she placed on the desk and not in my hand, which was extended. I spoke to the Mgr. I expressed my dissatisfaction, and the fact that I didn't feel an automatic gratuity was warranted for the terrible customer service received. Cheri offered an apology and a refund of the automatic gratuity charged on "To Go" orders. Pay attention to your receipts and don't accept awful customer service, Speak Up.

SooOOoo... We have been to Katz before, However this location double thumb down the atmosphere is nice and they have an interactive turf area that is nice. The drinks are, not good. Specifically the sprite and lemonade. The portions are as pictured, not worth it for me, and service was slow and lacking enthusiasm.
Monte crisco is NOT breaded and fried. It is made with French Toast Bread. (This was disappointing.)

The food is good but when my friends and I was asking for condiments etc and some water not all of us were paying attention and unintentionally made the young girl with the septum go back and fourth a few times it was obvious she was annoyed and we even apologized bc again we did feel bad and didn’t mean to the lightskin boy who was supposed to be cleaning and looked like he was itching for sum decided to get rude and unprofessional.

Do not park in their lot. They are supposed to have a security guard in the lot monitoring the premises. He was not. My car got broken into, and he came after the fact, asking whose car was vandalized. Whoever was scheduled Wed 3/12 at 10PM, I hope there is some corrective action. Won’t be back
My party was told that it would be a 30 - 45 minute wait for a table so I placed a to-go order. 10 minutes later we were told a table was available. We sat down with our party and were rudely informed that we would not be able to eat our to-go order at the table. When I asked to speak to a manager she walked up to the table, stated that’s our policy and then proceeds to tell me she cancelled our to go order. We were forced to sit and watch our friends order and enjoy their meals that came from the exact same kitchen that the to go orders came from. It was absolutely absurd. If this is a “norm” in Houston eateries it is very disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Houston.

Good place. Service was great. Waiting time was not that long. Went during a busy time late at night and it seemed like only 4 servers were working. Despite how long it took for us to get our food and drinks our waiter was the best and very attentive. I would give him a shout out but I honestly don’t remember his name.

I hyped this place in my head. The sandwich was huge. Corn beef was not melt in your mouth, it did have flavor. Bread tasted semi stale. For myself I have had better. 1 man's opinion. Chips were good. My first time in Houston, I would make a return visit.

Food's dangerously overpriced, and the house staples have no quality control whatsoever. Anybody who's had real Katz's pastrami can tell that this location is way off. I've been twice, on occasions largely against my will. Messing up a Reuben should be treason.
The decor is a tacky fetishization of New York City, but it clashes with the atmosphere, both of which clash with pretty much every managerial decision.

Poor customer service! Our waiter acted very irritated I'm guessing because many ppl were coming from the rodeo on BLACK HERITAGE NIGHT! I got shorted a piece of 🥓 so I told him and he basically got an attitude. At that point I no longer wanted it so when he came back I told him to take it ALL back. He took the rest of the stuff and never said another word! I honestly want a refund for it all! We didn't tell waiters to get that job so don't take it out on the customers. OR.....was it a RACE thing....... NEVER AGAIN. And I came from out of town to see what the hype was about....👎
