Alora is a gem, a 10/10 spot of Montrose Houston- we love it here. The neighborhood is of course untouchably nice, and the areas around it are well kept so it’s comfortable to even dine outside on a night out. Calm, or busy, this place is quality. Go here if you want something different & delicious!

We loved Kau Ba so we tried Alora yesterday. The food was fine but the cleanliness of the restaurant is not good. There was a roach on the table next to us that we had to point out to the server. He removed the napkin it was on but not the plate under it. There was food all over the floor around us. I had high hopes but was disappointed.

So so so tasty and a great value for the price, especially on happy hour. Delicious cocktails, especially the “cup of tea” cocktail, which knocked my socks off. Really cute interior and fantastic service. Good veggie options too. If you haven’t dropped in yet, you are missing out! Montrose- please support this business! You will not regret it.

We came to Alora for dinner and absolutely loved it! We ordered the Vietnamese noodle bowl, anticucho, and pork chop - every dish was amazing and beautifully presented. The cocktails were incredibly creative and paired perfectly with the meal. The restaurant itself is gorgeous with a great vibe. Truly a hidden gem in the Montrose area. Highly recommend!

An amazing place that blends multiple dynamic culinary dining themes into a transcendent experience. Amazing Fusion of Peruvian and Vietnamese cuisine coalesce into the perfect harmony of gastronomy and rhythm. Don't miss out on this chance to experience what others only dream about. The dream is now a reality.

I dined with a group for a work event and repeatedly told our waiter (who was very nice otherwise) that two guests have deadly (anaphylactic) shellfish allergies. We asked him to pick appetizers for the table to share that had no shellfish in them. Unfortunately, we were still served the Causa Limeña dish WITH shrimp. We asked again does anything have shellfish in it just to make sure. I literally had to slap the fork out of my boss’ hand because I tasted the dish right before her and noticed the shrimp. She was afraid to eat for the rest of the meal. Additionally the papaya salad had no acid or flavor to speak of and my beef heart anticucho had a very bitter overly charred taste. The atmosphere was lovely, however.

I had a solo reservation for 21:15, i arrived at 21:22 due to parking being a bit hard but i found a spot! They still seated me and when i say the service, cocktail and food were all great! I enjoyed my mai tai and the dick spring rolls?! Amazing! I'll be back to try their happy hour and brunch!

We celebrated my birthday at Alora, and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. My husband worked with Ngoc and Diego, who went out of their way to make everything feel personal and effortless. They helped us plan a beautiful setup on the patio — the perfect space for everyone to mingle with wine before brunch.

The food was fantastic — every appetizer was a hit, and brunch was delicious and beautifully prepared. Chef Mykala truly outdid herself! You could taste the care and creativity in every dish.

It felt like celebrating with friends who genuinely wanted the day to be special. I can’t thank the Alora team enough for helping make my birthday so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

I have been here a few times and always enjoy myself. The food is good and tableware is beautiful. The service is excellent and the venue is so cute. It’s the perfect spot for an intimate get together or a date and has indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is always a bit of a struggle if it’s a busy weekend but there is a small parking lot next to the building, street parking and a few nearby pay to park lots.

Location, decor, staff, all great. I ordered the duck egg rolls, great textures but not a lot of flavor. The dipping sauce was good. The green papaya salad took time to grow on me but the bites of beef really bring it all together.

My main entree was the octopus. Unfortunately it was very chewy. But the manager or owner came to speak to me and gave me a free dessert. Unfortunately the way that they make picarones at this location is not sweet and drizzled with caramel, but the lack of sweetness plus a bitter aftertaste was disappointing. So I didn't end up finishing the octopus and picarones.

Overall I'm just annoyed that I got full on a meal I didn't enjoy.
