“Came here to try th shawarmas and they were great. Chicken and beef kebab.
The palstenian coffee was given to us to try and we normally don't like black coffee. This was so tasty with cardamom. It was not bitter at all. Amazing. Extra bonus for being a local business ??.
Will absolutely be coming back.“

“You know it’s good Chinese food when most customers are Chinese!!!
We went on a weekday for dinner and there were plenty of seats but it soon started filling up.
What we ordered:
- grilled egg plant - I could eat two plates of these!
- grilled bun
- lamb skewers
- grilled whole corn
They were all cooked very well with plenty of seasoning, and as someone who grew up in Beijing and ate a lot of skewers, these are legit! The only complaint would be that there were some fascia in the lamb skewers, but it was still pretty good. Very attentive staffs as well. Their other dishes looked great as well. Will come back!
Note, you might want to ask for it to be extra spicy if you’re used to having them“

“I just love this place. Pretty great value and kebabs are great. Highly recommend the grilled squid, lamb kebabs, and chicken skin. I wish there was a menu with more pictures just so you know what you're getting, but overall I would say you gotta try this place.“

“This place has some of the best gyros around. Wandered in for the first time…. Hidden gem. The people working there are also amazing and friendly. Will be returning.
Lunch special gyro with fries and a bottled drink for $12.49 should be illegal. Available Monday- Saturday.“

“This is my first time trying the beef shawarma from Big Chef, and hands down, it’s the best shawarma I’ve ever tasted! The meat was fresh and the ingredients in it were fresh with a burst of flavor explosion with every bite. It was flavorful throughout! Shout out to Omar for fixing the sandwich. He was so friendly and professional! MashaAllah.“

“I love this place and that I highly recommend this place and yes , wait , they have lamb kabobs which is missing from the best Mediterranean restaurants around. They all serve lamb shanks and chops but no one serves lamb kabob . If you get Falafel than try , tahini, garlic sauce and hummus and other toppings in it and the price remains the same and whatever toppings you want, isn’t that great.
Vegetarian options: Falafel is the best.

“I recently got takeout from Abu Omar hala Lamb Shawarma Italian, and their shawarma is amazing! The meat was tender and flavorful, the bread was soft, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and everything stayed fresh in the packaging. Friendly staff and quick service made the experience even better. Highly recommend Abu Omar for delicious shawarma takeout!“

“Some of the best small chops in Houston. She was attentive, fast paced and very considerate of what I needed for my day. Everyone enjoyed the snacks especially the prawn Mayo spring rolls. Pricing is also very reasonable. I definitely recommend her 🙏💗“

“In our search for a Skewer restaurant. Xin Jiang BBQ came up as one of the ONLY establishments open at the lunch hour.
The flavors here were excellent! If you're open to trying new things, there are several choices here that are worth a taste.
Highly suggest for new comers, start with the lamb selections (Lamb fat, lamb breast, marinated, etc), beef (sirloin, tendon, etc.) & pork (special on the wall side menu). Then work your way up to something new to try. It gives you a good base of what's to come.
The seasoning has a little heat that comes in as you eat more. But it sat with me just right, as I can't handle a lot of heat.
Just take a look at all the pictures and videos. Loads of options XinJiang BBQ offers.
For the price you pay, while it may not look like much, but It adds up. For your first visit order slowly to gauge your limit. Each of us had roughly about 30 skewers.
There was plenty of parking on our visit and we can't wait to return to try more.
