We visited this newly opened Egyptian restaurant based on a friend’s recommendation. Although the wait was long due to shortage of staff, the food was good. The waitress brought by some hummus and bread as an apology for our wait. We tried several dishes: the macarona bel bachemel, (Egyptian lasagne) the warak enab (dolmas), the molokheya, and the chicken panet platter. Everything tasted hot, fresh, and flavorful. The owner came by personally and asked us for honest opinions on each dish. He was attentive and seemed genuinely looking for constructive feedback, which I appreciated. He also generously provided dessert on the house to conclude our meal. We enjoyed our experience overall and will be back.
Not really enjoyed the different taste. Food was a bit overpriced. Customer service was not good as they were not following the order properly for things. requested. Interior is very beautiful and ambiance is very interesting with good traditional music. Host is friendly with good humor may be was not the perfect day to fully enjoy

100% Lamb Gyro. Absolutely Phenomenal. Authentic Greek and Egyptian. Great atmosphere. Very reasonable prices. Ask for Waleed. This owner knows how to prepare Authentic selections. Outside seating as well. Nice with the weather coming up.

Authentic Egyptian food and it is absolutely out of this world. I order the lamb shank and it melted in my mouth like butter.
The fruit juice is fresh pressed and incredibly refreshing to go with the meal.
It is BYOB if that’s important to you but honestly, you’ll miss the juice if you bring alcohol. The juice is worth it.
Next time I’m in Houston, I’ll be coming back. 11/10!!!
