Our first time visit was pretty awesome! The appetizers were the highlight of our meal, we had the pork belly and the Nashville hot wings. We will definitely be back for those. My wife had the Cobb salad, she loved it although she said the ranch tasted bland. I had fried okra and fried chicken. The okra wasn't seasoned but the texture was good. My buttermilk fried chicken kind of let me down, it to lacked seasoning and I could still taste the buttermilk, I just wasn't a fan. Oh and my bread pudding was delicious! The atmosphere was fine, the staff was friendly and there was plenty of parking.

If the line at Truth BBQ intimidates you (or if you are bringing the kids along) Killen’s is a good spot. Not sure if it’s Michelin star worthy but the first time my mother and I came we had a big beef rib that was really good. The second time we tried some of their BBQ but was underwhelmed. The sides and the bourbon drinks were good though and the carrot cake was fantastic. Took about 10 minutes to get waited on both times.

Christian was absolutely horrible. Very disrespectful.
Been here a few times. Frankly, for the prices that they charge for the food, it should be better. My daughter had the chicken fried chicken and I had the brisket burger. Add in two drinks (tea and lemonade) and a side of Mac n cheese at $14, our bill with tip was over $80.00. For a total like that, the food should be amazing IMHO.

I had an amazing experience at Killen's in the Heights location, and a big part was thanks to our server Joshua Flores! From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive and incredibly knowledgeable on the menu and wine list. He made great recommendations, checked on us just the right times and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. It's clear this place genuinely cares about creating a great dining experience. The food was excellent, but the service truly stood out and made the night more memorable. I highly recommend asking for Joshua Flores if you visit. Killen's is lucky to have him on their team!
