This place smells like raw sewage. I have eaten here for decades and it just gets worse and worse.

I just walked in and the smell hit me so bad that I walked out. The waitstaff didn’t even bother to make eye contact. The service has really gone down into the basement.

Wanted to try this place before it closes down, but I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. Ordered the House fried rice, garlic butter shrimp, black peppered crab, and spring rolls — all of it tasted worse than a typical Chinese buffet. On top of that, the plates were overpriced for the quality and flavor we received. Definitely not worth the cost or the hype.

Only issue was a really bad smell once we walked past the hostess. Almost like sewage. But everything else was superb.

They have the best shrimp fried rice. Great place to bring visiting family members.

The place was humid, the service rushed, and the food was subpar. I found a strand of hair in my food.

We had not been to the Kim Son Vietnamese restaurant on Jefferson for several years. We were driving through downtown Houston so we stopped in. We normally went to the location on the SW freeway in Stafford that was close to our home. It is a shame that it closed because the greedy landlords raised the rent by too much to stay there and be profitable. Sad that downtown is less safe and glad they have a security guard. The Vietnamese BBQ was very good. The spicy green beans without pork were great. The veggies that came with the dish were good but could use a bit more lettuce and bean sprouts. We miss the buffet that they had on the second floor. We also miss the dim sum.
