Honestly if you like waiting come here it took15 minutes for my drink and 15 other minutes for my fried calamari, genuinely the costumer service over all is good but the wait time definitely isn't plus the fried calamari was horrible it wasn't worth the wait as well.

I am extremely upset and disappointed with my recent experience at Kim Tea House. I went in with the intention of getting a French vanilla cappuccino with boba, a simple order that I had been looking forward to. I paid for my drink and was never informed that there was no boba available. When I received my drink and noticed there was no boba, I was confused and immediately pointed out to the employee that the drink wasn't what I had ordered.

What followed was an appalling lack of customer service. If there is no boba, why wasn’t I told beforehand? Why wasn’t I offered an alternative or even a heads-up before my drink was made? Instead, I was told that it would take 30 minutes to prepare more boba. Mind you, I had traveled all the way from the Heights to the west side of town specifically for this drink, so I agreed to wait, hoping for some sort of resolution.

Finally, after the long wait, my drink was ready. However, to my shock, I was charged an additional $0.60 for the boba that I wasn’t initially told was unavailable. If anything, I felt that I should not have been charged for something I was never informed about. When I asked again why I wasn’t told upfront about the boba situation, I was met with silence from the staff—everyone seemed to freeze, unsure of how to respond.

According to Kim Tea House’s employee handbook, (2023) customer service is supposed to be a top priority, but this experience was far from that. It seems like there needs to be a serious reevaluation of both staff training and accountability. It’s incredibly frustrating to feel like a business doesn’t value your time or your money, especially when simple communication could have made the entire experience better.

The jasmine milk tea was delicious! Not too sweet not too bitter, just right. The fried chicken was not the best but they are a tea house not a chicken house. Atmosphere was really nice and the employees are helpfull and chill, I enjoyed reading a book with my tea.

I love the selections, though I'm often getting the same taro cream tea with boba. Great space, and friendly staff make this a pleasant spot to hang out.

Kim’s teahouse is hands-down the best Boba place that you can find around. Kim herself is also a sweetheart, and she has created an amazing business in Houston. I would honestly hate to see this place expand because I’m sure the quality would go down but they already have multiple locations all over the greater Houston area and they are all amazing. the only place that I can think competes is gong cha and they are huge across America in my opinion. Comparatively you can’t get much better and people are always looking for the bigger monopolies so please support your small businesses. As always, much love from Houston and the universe.
