Extremely disappointing that kitchen closed by 11am. No where posted In website about kitchen closure. Had to pick some leftovers pastries.
The food is usually tasty though I find the pastries and baked goods to be extremely sweet and taste a bit processed. The atmosphere is cute however, I visited recently (around 1:00 on a Sunday) and had a very disappointing experience as the back seating area was being cleaned and chairs were stacked on tables while we were having our lunch. This was distracting and ruined the atmosphere as we had dirty dishes and cleaning rags sitting on a cart next to our table. I am unlikely to return and will opt for other Heights venues in the future.
Good coffee and comfortable space. They also have good you can buy by the loaf. The only thing I would avoid and it's a personal opinion, is the pancakes. They look like a huge cookie and are really thick. Either come hungry or opt for something different. I like coming here whenever I'm in the mood for breakfast or brunch.
AAdvantage Dining gives points for this wonderful breakfast/lunch location in the Houston Heights area. Pretty easy parking if you get there early on a weekend. Upon entering, you place an order for full breakfast items or bakery (yummy stuff!). Find an open spot at one of the numerous tables, large and small. Share with another person at a large table. It's all good. Food is delicious! I had a made-to-order meat lovers omelette which came with roasted potatoes and sourdough toast. Thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience.
Our first time visiting and we were pleasantly surprised! The interior is so cute and homey. The food was delicious. We had French toast and breakfast tacos, we will definitely be back!
Great location and plenty parking.I had an almond pastry and lovely coffee.Highly recommended by Tony Llamas.
The food and coffee is always fantastic here! They have some of the best breakfast tacos and they’re much cheaper than other places. Definitely worth the stop!
This coffee shop was 5-star in my heart until my lunch visit today. To be honest, I loved the delicious coffee and food here. I hate to leave 2-star now and my feedback is to help the owner improve their customer service. So I went to have lunch with a friend; everything was fine until I found a fly in my cup of coffee. I asked my friend to notify the staff to make me a new one. I know it was not their fault and all I wanted was a new hot latte cup.To my dismay, the staff brought me the same cup, same cookie with my bite on it, even the foam looked the same. I thought they took the fly out and gave it back to me, cause I just had some sips of my old cup. I was so disappointed and left, didn't even bother to finish my lunch. I rarely leave a negative comment for restaurants as I do feel empathize with them. I just thought the staff was so busy they didn't have time to fix new cup of coffee for me.Anyways, I just wanna share my thoughts, it’s still a nice local coffee shop if you want to stop by. Their bread is to die for.
Delicious food, temperature control way off. Food took 15 min to come to the table, totally normal wait, but the French toast, while delicious, was already cold and the bacon was tepid at best. The AC was cranked way up, so the whole building was cold. Coffee was delicious, but overall price point wasn’t appropriate for cold food.
Chic stop for coffee. It’s a bit ritzy and the coffe is standard. I do think the baked goods are nice. The almond croissant was a bit too light on the almond, but it was quite fluffy.Overall it is a nice place and has a nice selection. Seating was a bit tight in the back room. Acoustics were nice. The building is cool and old. I don’t know about historical other than mattresses were made here, but it is a neat renovation. It fits the general gentrification of the heights in general.

Food and coffee was very good, but there were about 4 flies flying around and they kept lending in the plate. Restrooms need attention as well. Service is okay.
I love this place! It gives small hometown bakery vibes in a big city of course. The Be All You Can Be Bagel is the best! They even make whole cakes you can buy! I love all the different types of seating available. For sure bring your friends and enjoy some coffee and food!
Todo todo muy rico excelente servicio
Coffee was good and food was good. I got the french toast and a coffee latte. Just wish there was more available seating. You seat yourself after you place your order. So come at a time when it's not too busy.
Really cool place I liked the atmosphere and the people who work here are nice, and it’s great to bring friends, family or just to enjoy a cup of coffee to yourself. BTW the food is so yummy!
