LA Crawfish Shack

Unexpected surprise! My daughter and I were visiting Houston and looking for a place to eat, just pulled in on a whim and I’m so glad we did. I’m a big fan of New Orleans cuisine and this place hit the mark! Red beans and rice is always the first dish I order in a Cajun restaurant, and theirs was amazing! My daughter had the fish and shrimp basket. Next trip to Houston we’ll be back! 👍

This place is awesome! Prices are good, staff was friendly. Loved the stuffed shrimp and the etouffee. We did a boil too and loved the flavor. Head off shrimp with House seasoning and Medium spicy was soooooo good. Most other places are bland.

A blonde woman who is extremely rude only serves people who speak fluent English.

I speak Portuguese and have an accent in my English.

She refused to serve me.

How can we evaluate this person?

I must say I love going here every Friday on my off days to get my Jambalaya and Shrimp definitely hot and good.

I love this location. I always go here, especially when the crawfish is in or out of season amazing robust flavor prices that don't break the bank. I genuinely one of my favorite spots.

I've been com8ng to LA Crawfish Shack for years-I'm talking over 10-1st time at the Veterans location-th3 other 2 locations are my go to. When say there wasn't any of the sauce on my turkey neck. I mean NONE-very disappointed

Their crawfish & shrimps are delicious & taste so good with the house seasoning. Pricing is reasonable. I always get sides like corn, sausage, potatoes, mushrooms, boiled eggs, & it always hits. I’ve ordered from them about 4 times and unfortunately this last time it was disappointing, I made an online order and called 30 min later since there was no update on a pick up time. The worker was rude and said “the sooner I get off the phone with you the sooner I can finish my other orders and work on yours.” I wait a full hour and go in person, they hadn’t even started on my order despite the online form showed as “completed and picked up”
I waited once again in the lobby, and once I got the food it was bland and the crawfish were very muddy and filthy.

Crawfish was good best i’ve tried so far but i got a bestie combo thinking it was split in half for 2 people , i was not explained that it was not and the manager or whoever gave me the refund had an attitude expecting me to know it cant be 2 flavors for each “bestie “ or split in half for the other “bestie “ . Cashier was nice not his fault but could’ve been explained better .

Maria is amazing! She go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The food is great, I love the house sauce. I always get the medium but I have had the mild which is great also. It’s seasoned real good. I was very surprised because other places mild sauce is not seasoned. Everything is always fresh. I have had the boiled seafood, fried seafood there and everything was delicious. Now I’m on the pig feet, potato & corn with the house sauce. Delicious. 5 STARS ⭐️

I did a pick up order. They had my order ready in about 15 minutes. I got 2 pounds of crawfish, half a pound of crab, fried oysters and their jalapeño hush puppies. Very good would definitely recommend very affordable
