Everytime I visit I have a great experience. I love the shrimp and crab cheesecake, and the waygu carpaccio. The expresso martinis are phenomenal.

Food was amazing- service was good. The atmosphere is lively, but it is definitely a little tight. Tables are pretty close together.

When I’m craving Italian, La Griglia is always the first place that comes to mind. It’s elegant, perfect for a romantic dinner, business meeting, or bringing friends who are visiting Houston, and it truly never disappoints.
My go-to dish, and the one I always recommend, is the short rib cappelletti. It’s incredible. For appetizers, the shrimp & crab “cheesecake” is a must. They also have a great cocktail menu, an excellent wine list, and you absolutely cannot skip the brown butter bread pudding for dessert.
The service is always on point, friendly, and knowledgeable, and valet parking makes everything easy. La Griglia is definitely more of an adult, upscale dining experience, and it’s one of those places that makes every visit feel special.

Giving two stars cause experience was not great but the food was good. First when we got there the hostess were not the kindest. Sat at the bar because they told us they were running behind on outdoor seating. I had a reservation at 8pm. We sat at the bar for 40 minutes. I had to ask the hostess multiple times when our table would be ready. Suddenly when we speak to a manager a table magically is open. The waitstaff was not the kindest we saw our waitress a total of two times the entire night. It’s seems like she left mid dinner because we never saw her again after the second time. I will say the people assisting the waitress were great. We get seated and our bread and out of no where a roach is on the table! The staff were quick to kill it but still so disgusting! Overall our experience was not great but the food was good. So if you want subpar service but good food the you found your place.

Came here for a late birthday celebration and had the best time such a cozy and cute setting you get two different vibes from indoor and outdoor. The staff is amazing and so attentive definitely a place to try out and the food and drinks were solid!
Everything was poor about our visit. We didn't really have one waiter assigned to us. My friend ordered lamb chops medium rare and I ordered the spaghetti carbonara. It took forever for our meal to come out. When it finally arrived, my friend's lamb chops were well done, not medium rare (a big mistake that any chef should know), and my spaghetti carbonara was cold - seriously cold. My friend had also ordered a glass of red wine, which never arrived, despite us flagging down waiters multiple times to remind them. The service was atrociously poor. We spoke to the manager about the issues. He graciously said he would take our beverages off the bill to compensate for the poor food and service. However, when the bill arrived, the beverage costs were still on the bill. We had to flag someone down AGAIN to get it corrected. We've eaten at this restaurant before and had good experiences. This experience was a 1 on a 1 to 10 scale.
Perfect Galentine's Spot! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "We visited La Griglia this past Sunday for a Galentine's lunch and it was the absolute perfect choice! The ambience is stunning—modern, lively, and so chic. We started with the fruit tray, which was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. For the table, the cinnamon roll was a total crowd-pleaser—so yummy and the perfect level of sweetness. But for me, the mushroom lasagna absolutely stole the show! It was rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best lasagnas I've ever had. If you're looking for a spot with great energy and even better food, this is it. Can't wait to come back!
The restaurant is beautiful inside but very loud on a Saturday night so we were definitely shouting at our table of five to be heard. I was a bit disappointed that our waiter was not better informed about possible food allergens on the menu. He told me the wedding soup was gluten free and it has small pasta in it. I mentioned I was gluten and dairy intolerant and he offered me ice cream for dessert. Also he didn't inform us that the entrees (which were already quite expensive) did not come with any sides. For $$$ I received a small helping of snapper with no sauce and no sides... I also wanted to order a cappucino with almond or oat milk and the restaurant didn't carry any non-dairy milk. They are quite proud of their wine list with very few options under $100. While we had a great time, for the money, there may be better options.

Wednesday at 5:25pm- not possible to drive through.
Monday 3:00pm, impossible to pass
October 3,2025, again trucks parked on both sides of the street. Keeps happening.
My only disappointment was that my wife booked it for my birthday. We saw other customers given complimentary birthday slice. We ordered a full lunch, but I was not equally treated with a birthday slice, for my December birthday.
Business lunch was very good. I recommend the salmon which is uniquely prepared. Service was great.
We had a great time. My friends and I enjoyed it very much. Nice to see everyone at the restaurant happy and social. Definitely will come back to this restaurant.
