This was an awesome place to eat after a long drive from Kansas to Houston. The atmosphere was great, the food was awesome, and our server was absolutely fantastic!

The Mexicana stew thing was so literal GAS. Will be back again. Bonus points for halal chicken and beef (zabiha gang).

La Hacienda: Where the Enchiladas are the Size of Texas and the Margaritas are Stronger Than My Commitment to My New Year's ResolutionsLet's be honest, Houston has no shortage of Mexican restaurants. But La Hacienda isn't just another Tex-Mex joint slinging out sad tacos and watery margaritas. This place is the Beyonce of Tex-Mex: fierce, fabulous, and garantiert to leave you with a sonrisa the size of Texas.First off, the portions are HUGE. I ordered the chicken enchiladas verde, and let me tell you, those weren't your mama's enchiladas. They were more like enchilada boulders, smothered in a sauce so verdantly green it could make a leprechaun jealous. And the chicken? Oh, the chicken! So tender it practically apologized for being in my mouth. I swear, one bite and I was transported to a sun-drenched hacienda in Oaxaca, mariachi band and all.And then there were the margaritas. Oh, the margaritas! Let's just say they were strong enough to make me forget my resolution to "cut back on tequila." One sip and I was salsa dancing on the table (metaphorically, of course, because I have the grace of a baby giraffe on roller skates). But La Hacienda isn't just about the food and the booze (although, let's be real, those are two pretty big things). It's also about the atmosphere. The place is like a fiesta explosión of color and warmth. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready with a refill or a recommendation. And the music? Well, let's just say it's the kind of music that makes you want to grab your abuelita and twirl her around the dance floor. So, if you're looking for a Tex-Mex experience that's as big and bold as Texas itself, look no further than La Hacienda. Just be sure to wear your stretchy pants and maybe leave the car at home, because those margaritas are sure to give you a case of the happy feet.Rating: 5 out of 5 stars (and maybe a bonus star for the guacamole, because that stuff was legit)P.S. I hear the fajitas are also amazing. But I'm still recovering from my enchilada encounter, so I'll have to their word for it. ?P.P.S. If you see me salsa dancing on a table, please don't judge. Just join in!

Good place for Tex-Mex and traditional Mexican food. Been in business since 1976 or earlier.Parking: I’ve never had a problem finding parking at lunch or dinner.Kid-friendliness: Family oriented place. There is a section with tables for 4, another section with places for 2 to 8.
