This review is only for desert.
No more desert for me from this place. It was very soggy. The Napoléon is supposed to be fresh and flaky.
For this place I'll stick to the hot plates.
For deserts I'll mosy on to another.

I love la Madeleine. I enjoy my quiche florentine and my French country breakfast! Coffee is delicious! For lunch my chicken salad on spinach or wild field greens ….. desserts out of this world !

La Madeleine promises an authentic French bakery experience. It is rather noisy and the food is not particularly special. It is fun to hear French phrases while visiting the toilet. The staff are friendly but I doubt any speak French! It offers 3 private dining/meeting rooms at no extra with the request that users buy a meal or snack. The meeting room must be booked in advance to ensure availability.

This is a great location, the food is consistent throughout all the La Madeline’s I’ve been eating in Houston. One big thing why I put 3 stars is because the small stall in the women’s bathroom, there’s no holder for the toilet paper and instead it’s sitting on top of the toilet. There’s no toilet paper holder fashioned to the wall, nor a separate holder in the stall. This means that every person who will use the bathroom has to put our hands through the cardboard roll and unroll the toilet paper ourselves (even in between wipes if need be), GROSS!! Staff or management should have spoken up or if it has been, no action was taken place. Hopefully if management sees this review, changes will be made.

Also our big table sitting 8, was pretty wobbly, but food wise, I enjoyed it!!

The girl who works at the cashier at 2:20pm intent to make my order late after waiting 20 minutes for salad. She should be fired

Impressively fast if you order online and then pick up in store. In other stores I might need to wait for 15 minutes in store for the food to be ready. But for this store the food is ready for pick up when I step in.
