I love this restaurant, we had a networking event here and loved the small bites. We had street tacos, mini tostadas, and taquitos. I really liked the outdoor courtyard which is great for kids. Try this hidden gem you'll love it.

My mom and I stopped by La Mex in Oak Forest for a quick late lunch around 4:30 PM and had a great experience. We were able to enjoy their happy hour menu, which had everything we wanted to try anyway, so we ordered everything. All the food was pretty good, and my mom especially enjoyed it. Yoguef, was super sweet and the service was excellent.
We chose to sit on the patio, which was a perfect spot to watch the kids play in the courtyard while their parents relaxed nearby. The surrounding area has other venues, and after our meal, we enjoyed dessert at Fat Cat Creamery just across the way. There’s also a stage for live bands, which I imagine would be a great place to enjoy on the weekends. La Mex seems like a great place for families with kids. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is very cool! I’ll be back for happy hour for sure! Restaurant complex called stomping grounds. Looks like a great time out here when the weather is nice. Food is exceptional, drinks go strong, they have a tortilla making station like the old school spots, and everyone is very chill! Can’t wait to hit this place up on a busy weekend. Looks like a blast.

Great place! We went for a birthday brunch. They don't take reservations but we called 1 hour in advance and they kept 2 tables for us. We enjoyed eating in their patio while the kids played in the grass. They kept our cake in their fridge and at dessert time they gave us plastic plates and spoons, and a lighter. Food was good and not pricey. We'll certainly be back!

The staff was great (Georef, not sure I got that right). They answered all of our questions, were hospitable, and offered free samples to help us decide. The food was great, the margaritas were great, and the park and other restaurants in the complex were convenient. Come support this business!

Only gave 2 stars due to the fact that as for pricing on fajitas they had me for a while.. I came in last night to celebrate my sons birthday and we brought in our own tres leches cake and asked them to keep it cold for us, we’re a pretty large family 6 kids between my husband and I, when it was time to sing happy birthday we go back to grab the cake and they tell us they dropped it. They initially offered to refund us the cake we bought and would give us a few pieces of cheese cake to compensate for our cake. When we went back to have them refund us for our cake in which THEY dropped, they said they would only do one or the other. Mind you we brought in a LARGE tres leches and they provided us with 3 pieces of cheesecake. Total disappointment in their service, very unprofessional the way they handled the situation. Especially when we came to spend our evening celebrating at what we considered a great place. We will not be back. Not to mention the queso was awful and the flour tortillas were overcooked.
The food was excellent. It still had an authentic taste to it and homemade flour tortillas. A must visit!

Great atmosphere and service but not the best chilaquiles I ever had. Beans were also not super flavorful. Pretty pricey for what I got. Decent all around - will have to come back and try something else!
