Love it! When we talk about hidden Houston gems, this one is on the list. It’s a mom and pop local restaurant where it feels like pops is actually doing the cooking. Traditional Mexican food with good flavors and great pricing. Worth a stop for the Chilaquiles !
I went there a couple of times for takeout food. It's pretty regular Mexican food. The place is quiet. One of the times I went, the person at the counter didn't speak much English and didn't understand some of what I was saying. Overall it's pretty decent and I'd go back.
The food for whatever reason keeps getting to me half cold half hot/warm. But it is still tasty. Service, seems like they keep forgetting I'm there 😁 but it is somewhat understandable when understaffed. Prices are a huge plus, when other restaurants are charging sky high prices for similar types of food orders, this place is keeping it real. Did I say tasty 😋. They just have to keep an eye on the temperature of the food.
