Stopped here for lunch during CSM 2025, and it was nice for a quick lunch! Typical grill style food, but it was what I was looking for within walking distance!

The food was so bad , I payed 20 for a burger that didn’t come with fries so I had to add on fries and a drink . Then refills were 1.35 to buy in such a tiny cup! Right when I ate my burger it was so bland and dry I couldn’t even finish it. Even the fries were soggy and unseasoned. When I got home I had a stomach ache and started throwing up. If I could rate it 0 stars , I would. Would NOT go here again even if it was the last cafe on earth . 👎

I was here last November on my recent visit to Houston, it was the worst place in the city during my trip.
To star with, the cashier was unsympathetic and had bad manners, no intention of providing quality service.
When the food arrived, it had no flavor or quality. The sodas were disgusting, had a strong chlorine taste, made me sick.
Honestly, I don’t recommend this place at all.

Thought this place would be a good idea for a quick snack/lunch for my daughter before a competition. The burger is chewy/rubbery. Tastes like a pre made frozen burger. No taste. The cheese is shredded cheddar. The fries were ok. She took one bite and we threw the rest away. Don’t waste your $.

Discovery Green is a great location for family, friends or a fun date. The Lake House makes a decent burger but their fries are the star of the show. Good portion size and very filling.

I adore the Lake House. It has become a weekly thing for my son and I. They have the absolute best hot dogs, so yummy. My son lives for their soft serve cones. The atmosphere is just awesome whether you sit inside or outside on Kinder Lake. That is to say nothing of the service. We have always been treated well every visit.

I come to this park at least three times a week and I buy 20 ounce Gatorade’s for $2.29. I’ve been doing it all summer today I went to the park and they give me an 11 ounce Gatorade in a can for $2.29 and tell me that they ran out of the bottles and this is what they are supplementing it with, but still charging the full amount!!! Had a I don’t care attitude about it when I questioned the price difference compared to the size!

I’d suggest no tip or don’t come here. Just visited this place and bought burgers and fries for more than $50. Paid with a 20% tip. When I asked for a refill for my Diet Coke they demanded another pay of $1.39 or something. Well, the burgers and fries are just so so that doesn’t deserve that 20% tip. Not much service to speak of as we picked up food and cleaned the table ourselves. So whoever is going to eat here, I’d strongly recommend save your tips to pay for your refill. Or avoid the place if possible.
