I went there Nov 28 2025 their Rosita can beans were horrible. Hate they only smothered a light coat. Their tortillas were somewhat thin, raw, and chewy. Their barbacoa taste 2 day old and had like a mix of roast meat to make more. Very disappointed!! Their chicharones were good.

Best breakfast tacos in Houston, line might be long but worth the wait

Honestly, the tacos here are great—I’ve always thought this place had some of the best around. But I’ve got to be real: there’s this older guy behind the register maybe he’s the owner idk who just kills the vibe. He treats customers like he’s got some personal grudge, and it made me stop coming here for years. I actually gave them another shot, and it’s the same deal. So heads up: great tacos, but this one guy’s attitude is just not it. I really hope they figure out how to fix that.

Not all items on the menu are available. Too many items from the menu are unavailable like enchiladas or chile rellenos. Basically just tacos. The meats, fajita, barbacoa tastes great but the taco overall is dry, no cebolla or cilantro given in the taco. The salsas are too spicy to enjoy. Other item like cheese or aguacate are also unavailable. The servers are rude when customers are ordering. Plenty of parking and inside seating available. Overall I would not recommend, this is one of those one-time trips just to try it, type of place.

Always has a line but the flavor is astonishing! No need to say anymore. The toast speaks for itself. I must try to any Houston resident!

The menu does not make it clear that you can get 3 of anything on a taco. 3 meats or 1 meat with rice and bean. You name it, 3 period.

This is abnormal, as most places charge more for meat than toppings. Anyways, I realized that I could get rice on my taco when it was too late. In deliberation with the cashier, I thought he understood that I wanted the rice that would’ve been included with my taco to be on the side. Instead he charged me for a side of rice. There’s no screen or anything to see what you’re being charged for, just the raw price in green like old cash registers. No receipt either. I then asked why I was charged so high for two tacos and he accused me of saying I wanted a side of rice. When I literally only brought up getting rice bc I wanted the rice that would’ve came on my taco. Misunderstanding I guess, but I don’t like how he did not even leave the door open for the chance that there was a misunderstanding. Just said “you said you wanted a side of rice”. Never have I ever had words put in my mouth like that by a cashier, got me off guard, so I was not ready to defend myself…just went on my way since I had already paid.

Also just bad energy overall from the line workers too. I could tell that if I didn’t speak Spanish, I was gonna get treated differently bc they were not welcoming me to come forward to take my order. They had already profiled me as a gringo not worthy of giving their energy to. I could have spoken Spanish but chose not to bc I shouldn’t have to prove myself worthy of decent customer service.
