I've become a regular here, and the kind, friendly staff deserve all the business they can get. The interior is a classic tiki set up, and they work hard to change the theme at different times of year (all while still remaining abundantly tiki). They have a rotating menu of both time-honored tiki drinks, as well as originals; all made with care & thought.
Of course, like I said earlier, it's the good people that work here which keeps me coming back again & again. Lei Low is a staple in the Heights, Houston, and tiki communities, and their reputation speaks for itself!

I had gone to Lei Low for the first time some years ago but I went back for the second and third time this past month and it was wonderful to return! We tried their holiday drinks with cinnamon which were strong and tasty and we also really enjoyed their in-house coquito. It's overall great cozy vibes in there and they have special nights such as playing themed old movies on certain days. Looking forward to returning!

Lei Low is definitely a standout in Houston’s bar scene. First off, the cocktails were excellent across the board. Bartenders were top notch professionals. Super nice folk.
The vibe is lively enough to feel social, yet relaxed enough to actually enjoy conversation. Imagine if Johnny’s Gold Brick had a little brother. That’s Lei Low; and that’s a huge compliment from me. This bar is absolutely worth a visit. And another visit, and another, and another…..

We've been going to Lei Low for years now. I can't believe I haven't already written a review. All the bartenders are excellent. All of the drinks are excellent. My favorite is a barefoot in the sand. The macadamia nut liquer is what really sets it off. They also make a mean painkiller and the big multi-person size tiki bowls for a group are always a good time. Every drink is served in a great unique tiki vessel. They decorate for Christmas and do some special themed drinks for that. Wear a Hawaiian shirt for happy hour prices anytime. It took me years going here to realize there is a small patio out back if it's crowded inside. There isn't actually food here and the drinks are strong, so I recommend hopping across the street to The Post for a burger or something first so you don't get shmammerred

Lei Low is one of the best tiki bars in the U.S. and one of our favorite bars in Houston to enjoy some drinks. During the Christmas Season it is even better! Great vibe, excellent drinks and bartenders. Doesn't look like much from the outside... go through the door and you're in tiki heaven.

Don’t let the low-key exterior fool you, this spot packs a big punch inside. Drinks were on point and delicious. Intimate indoor seating with additional space out back on the patio.
