I had a great experience at the hotel bar thanks to Jairo. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive throughout my visit. His service was spot-on—very punctual and made me feel completely taken care of. You can tell he really cares about what he does. I truly appreciated the experience and would definitely recommend Jairo to anyone visiting the bar. Top-notch service!

Always a 10/10 experience here at Line & Lariat inside the Hotel Icon. This is my go-to hotel whenever I am on a business trip and this restaurant/bar is a big reason for that! Always top-notch service from the bartenders here, especially Jairo! He has served me on numerous occasions and is always on top of it. Great selection of drinks and a great food menu.

This bar/restaurant is in the beautiful lobby of the Hotel Icon. To start I had a Hush Money to drink and while it was sweet it was very good. I also had the Be Iconic drink and it was sour and didn't taste good. For food I ordered the happy hour charcuterie board (which is smaller than the regular one), and while it was good, it came with honey instead of jam, which just didn't work with the rest of the food.
Place was dead on a Saturday night, but it was nice to walk right in, sit at the bar, and get instant service. Cocktails were good, staff was great, handed us a book of building history, offered pretzel/nut snacks. Didn't eat, but menu looked decent for downtown. Would totally drop in for a drink again, might even enjoy a quiet meal sometime. That's another note, it's quiet; very low background music, no echoy surfaces.
Excellent spot to hang in downtown. Jennifer and Jasmine were behind the bar and were a delight. Made great drinks and were great to chat with. Vibe of the hotel and bar are second to none.
Jennifer and Jairo were great behind the bar. Their suggestions for drinks were excellent and they tasted amazing! 10/10 recommend.

The “smoked old fashion” cocktail is quite an experience.
If you go there, you know what to expect: luxury and elegance.
The service is great. Experienced and very professional bartenders.
And if you are passing through, take the opportunity to visit the hotel toilets.

? The bar and restaurant is located inside Hotel Icon, which is conveniently located in Historic Downtown Houston.
? Links leading to Line & Lariat are broken on the hotel's website, and there doesn't appear to be an easy way to acquire menu information using the website.
? No reservation is needed, and walk-in customers are welcome.
? They serve a meat and cheese plate that is great for sharing.
? The best drink I sampled is semi-sweet and presented with a smoky layer (pictured). The smoke adds flavor, which brings forth memories of camping in the woods. Unfortunately, I can't recall the name and it's not on any of the menus available on 3rd-party websites.
Cozy quiet restaurant at the Icon hotel.Food was good- the place is quiet enough to have a romantic

Love the old feature of it being a bank. Super cool lobby. Friendly staff helped us find local food for a great 2 day stay.

We stopped as members of a ghost tour. Learning the history of the building was fascinating, but that's not the point of this review!.We arrived as a large gaggle, but the staff was efficient in their service. We asked for a pickleback plus a cocktail, and the cocktails were excellent..The pickle back made us laugh. The bartender doesn't keep pickle juice--fair enough--but reached out to the kitchen for help. She got all they had, which was fantastic. The funny part is that the juice was from "bread and butter" pickles! It was a surprising twist, not completely successful from a taste standpoint. The slightly sweet flavor did quench the burn of the whiskey. I won't repeat this at home, but I surely appreciated the attempt!.So kudos to the bar. A for effort!

Both the food and service here is horrible. The food tasted like the cheap food you get at low budget resorts. The meat was mushy with no flavor and I can tell part of my order was microwaved. Also, the service is non existent. I go to the dinner area, nobody is there. The bar lady is looking at me, but no greeting. I finally go to her and ask if they were open, she states "yes, but there aren't any waiters but you can sit at the bar." Once sat, she kept forgetting my order, asking me to repeat myself multiple times. Then, once i finally got my food upstairs, it was wrong. I had to call management to complain and they rushed to my door with the food. This is despicable for a restaurant that is supposed to be five stars. The ICON hotel is superb with great staff, they need an overhaul at the restaurant.

Espresso martinis were great except for the fact that my drink glass was used and had a lipstick stain… instead of making me a new drink I was just given a new glass… also expensive but it’s a hotel bar
I ordered room service and the food was amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly!

Really bad staff and horrible service. It’s obvious they do not care about the guest experience and are just keeping it open because it’s a hotel. I just waved at one of the servers to get his attention and he waved back at me and continued leaning against the wall doing nothing. It’s clear there is no management pushing them and no one looking at the cameras. Other guests had to physically enter their server area just to force them to come out to give him coffee.
