Celebrated my husbands birthday at Loch Bar. First time going. Will definitely be back for a Sunday brunch on the patio! Food was great. We got the lobster pasta, crab & artichoke dip, char grilled oysters, and sirloin.

I really wanted to like this place. I went about two years ago and it was pretty good. But recently, my experience wasn’t so good. We ordered a few items on the menu and almost everything we ordered wasn’t good. The filet was TERRIBLE! The taste was horrible and it was no way it was 8oz more like 6oz, I called the MOD to let him know and his attitude was very nasty.(Christopher) I told him the Filet wasn’t it and his response was very short and rude, being a server normally it’s the managers job to comfort the table and ask if they would like anything else or what they can do to fix it, he basically just took the plate and when we asked to order something else he told me he’ll get the server? Besides that the music and seating was nice but due to the food and how we were treated by the manager, i don’t think we’ll be back.

Loch Bar is one of my favorite spots in Houston. Had a well needed girls night & it was fun. Great food & ambiance. Not crazy about the 3% facility fee.

We went to Loch Bar without realizing it was their $1 oyster special Wednesday, so that was a very happy surprice. We were also celebrating my mom and dad's birhtdays and the server was incredibily kind and attentive during the whole dinner. He even surprised us with free slices of cake for the both of them, which was veyr thoughtful and appreciated.
The oysters were fresh and delicious, and the overall atmosphere was warm and enjoyable. We started with the crab and artichoke dip and the bone in filet chops, and I don't have much to say about them. For entrées, the herb roasted branzino was the clear standout of the night. It was excellent, along with the oysters and the lobster pasta.
I would probably skip the Maine lobster roll next time. It was fine, I would much rather order another dozen or two of oysters instead.
For sides, we had the honey sriracha fried Brussels sprouts and the shells and cheese, and both were very good. Between the great food, the thoughtful service, and the nice ambiance, it was a memorable experience. I would definitely come back, especially for the oysters.
One complaint my parents had was that it was super dark inside but that's not a big problem at all.

Excellent food and service. Our waitstaff Adriana was simply superb. Try the lobster pasta and thank me later. Huge portion size and just decadent taste. Also gave us a free delicious melt-in-your mouth chocolate cake for my friend's birthday. Will highly recommend this place.
