The owners are very nice and make you feel at home. The Cajun fish was fried to perfection, and the cabbage and greens were good. I also had the gumbo, which I should have purchased a bowl instead of a cup. Bottom line, good food, and awesome owners. If you're ever in Katy, give them a try!
Very very upset about the gumbo and the fish and shrimp platter. I will never eat here again make it so hard to support Black people because there’s no pride just don’t care this is your business. This is how you provide for you and your family so you need to take a little bit more pride in your product.

We visited this place based on reviews as we were looking for soul food resturants in the area. $ WASTED!! . The catfish was not catfish. I don't know what kind it was. Please save your $$$ on the peach rolls they were half cooked and the beignets looked like old can biscuits? I will never go to this place again. Extremely disappointed.

Simply not worth it. Long wait, high prices, and food was soggy. I ordered 6 pc wing and fries. Chicken still had feathers on it. Paid $17 for this no drink included.

We came around nine Ish got two orders of catfish new orleans , and an order of catfish and shrimp with sides of mac and cheese , red beans and rice and yams. The catfish Orleans was overly seasoned, but overall it wasn’t bad. the oil probably needed to be changed. proportions of the food are fairly small for the price that you’re paying . maybe if we came earlier it would’ve been better but overall we give it a 6/10
