I was very disappointed in their turkey and dressing for Thanksgiving. Not like the usual taste. The gravy was terrible. Not up to their usual standards.
Picking up my Thanksgiving catering order was flawless and super easy to make a few last minute additions. Employees were incredibly helpful and all smiles.

My mother in law, my partner and I go to lubys Everytime when when mother in law comes from out of town and it's been good for the most part. There's a short Hispanic lady where food is being served. She always has an angry look and attitude everytime rolling her eyes like she doesn't like her job. That was a week ago. Mother in law also made a pickup order for dressing and gravy for thanksgiving. When we sat down to eat for dining in, no one ever came to the table for after 30 minutes. I saw 3 Hispanic employees in the dining area chit chatting with the tables while waiting. I had to get up and get our salt pepper sugar caddies and extra napkins the short Hispanic guy named (BEN!!!!!!) kept looking at us and saw when I got up to get the extra stuff that we needed for the table. There was a table next but BEN!! still didn't approach our table just walked back and forth staring at us but when females would show up he was quickly to acknowledge them, what a coincidence. A Hispanic girl finally came to our table like I after 30 minutes and I said it is now since I had to get up and get everything we needed for the table. Then my mother in law told her that we had a pickup Thanksgiving order and told her the name it was under and she looked confused and shook her head and said yes. Finally my mother in law just got up to go get the pickup order for thanksgiving and I had to go and get our containers for our leftovers we had and then that's when BEN!!!! finally decided to approach me and said can I help you and I told BEN!!!! I'm good and the cashier that took our payment before we sat down to eat, I explained to her about our visit and she just gave a sad face smiling but still really didn't understand what I was saying from her expression but the whole time BEN!!! was behind me and listening to the conversation and as I was walking away he started saying that's not my section and murmuring other gibberish as I walked away, BEN!!!! sure did have enough time to go and try to flirt with all the other females around the whole dining room are. I work in hospitality in the restaurant industry and there's a term called TEAMWORK!!! and a lot of employees say that's not my job. With TEAMWORK there's a better system not with some employees that are there for a paycheck. But at the end of the day it was the worst experience that we've had there at the Westheimer location in the same shopping center where pappadeaux is. Next time we'll just have to go to another Lubys or Cleburne's cafeteria. I know the response is going to be like all the others saying, oh sorry about the visit we strive to make a good experience, well saved it and have a meeting and explain it to your staff. Great job Lubys team ( NOT ) ESPECIALLY BEN!!!! YOU ARE THE WORST EMPLOYEE AND THE SHORT HISPANIC LADY IN THE SERVING LINE ALSO!!!!!!!
