I don’t know why they are so greedy with the bacon, I pay almost $9.00 for 2 potato’s and bacon tacos and I’m always asking for extra bacon and today I got so frustrated that I asked for extra bacon in a container, which took my bill to almost $12.00 dollars. I’m not happy at all with this staff and the greediness!

Does not miss!!! My go to is the quesadilla plate. Always always always good, muy muy rico! The charro beans are amazing. Rice, same. All good. The Vallarta walker tacos (fried fish) was also really good. Staff is very pleasant, even when busy.

First time visitor and I was pleasantly surprised! Homemade tortillas and you have a choice of hot, mild or plain sauce. Plenty to choose from and they're not stingy with the serving, tacos are pretty full!

A bit chaotic, but delish fresh tortillas! A little hard to find as they aren’t on any of the directories, but there are some paper signs floating around the closer you get.

The food is truly spectacular, for a very good price. The gorditas, nachos, Baja tacos and many more are delicious. Many sauces to choose from and the service is really good. A place you have to visit while in Houston.

? The breakfast tacos are probably tied with "La Taquiza" for the best tacos in the Downtown Tunnel System.? Customer service is a problem. They tend to act like it's an odd request to ask for beans on tacos here.? They have the best taco sauce in Downtown! I love spicy sauces and there's only 1 truly spicy sauce at this location (orange). They also have a few mild sauces for the weaklings who think SALT is spicy.? However, it's a hit or miss on getting the salsa you ask for.? ? Customer service can plummet if the restaurant is busy making a large catering-style order. I may have been helped by someone who wasn't accustomed to working in the main line (possibly a manager). The usual workers were building a large order and this person didn't know how to listen. I asked for beans with my tacos, as I normally do, and had to ask for it again when she was bagging the order. This lady gave me attitude, opened the wrapped tacos, and slapped the beans into them. This made the tacos very messy to eat. I asked for the orange sauce (as I usually do), but got green. Hell, while eating, I discovered that half my order was of the wrong protein.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the breakfast tacos at Luchi & Joey's, located in the tunnels beneath the commerce building. I must say that the experience was delightful, with one particular taco standing out among the rest.
The 1910 breakfast taco, a true masterpiece, deserves a resounding 10 out of 10. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each bite was a harmonious blend of ingredients. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and the taco was cooked to perfection. It truly surpassed my expectations and ranks among the best breakfast tacos I have ever had.
While the breakfast taco was exceptional, I must admit that the Machaca taco and the El Popular taco fell a bit short. They were decent, but they lacked the same level of excellence that the standout taco offered. I would rate them a 6 out of 10. The flavors didn't quite come together as cohesively, and there was room for improvement in terms of seasoning and overall execution.
The location of Luchi & Joey's adds to its allure. Nestled in the underground tunnels beneath the commerce building, it provides a unique and cozy setting. It's a charming experience to dine in such an unconventional space, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the visit.
Overall, my experience at Luchi & Joey's was great. The remarkable breakfast taco was a highlight that earned it a perfect score. Although the other tacos didn't quite reach the same level, they were still enjoyable. The hidden underground location added a touch of novelty to the experience. If you're a breakfast taco enthusiast looking for something out of the ordinary, this place is worth a visit.

Tried for the first time today! So good! I tried 3 tacos...classic beef, pulled pork and Baja San (grilled shrimp). All 3 were great the pork and shrimp were on another level. So fresh and hot (temp hot). The salsas have a lot of flavor. I went towards the end of lunch rush and no wait. I will be a regular customer. And they have so many breakfast options!

I’m not usually the type of person to leave reviews, but this place is such a hidden gem I had no choice. Stumbled in early this morning for some breakfast tacos, which were delicious; nothing gourmet or fancy, just really good homemade tacos. The service was quick and friendly, and the prices very reasonable. I’ll be back!
