I was running errands and had a ridiculous craving for Ethiopian food. Thankfully, I was close by, so I was excited that Lucy could hit the spot. This was a to go order placed over the phone. My server was extremely patient and shared her opinions on sides etc. I ordered the shrimp wot with injera and spicy lentils. The complex has ample parking and clear signs to find Lucy. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and my food was hot and ready. At home, I was pleased with the portions- it was enough to give me 2.5 meals. I wasn't used to this texture of shrimp wot, but the flavors were lovely. I wish the wot was a bit thicker so that it would be easier to eat with the injera. My spicy lentils did not lie about the heat and I loved it! I look forward to having enough time for a dine-in experience. The restaurant is spacious, and I think I would have a great time enjoying beautiful food from an amazing culture.

Best Ethiopian food in Houston. The atmosphere is relaxed, and you have the option of sitting in the lounge or the main dining room. Food is fresh and delicious. So many options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. My favorite is the Doro Wat. My family loves the red lentils. The traditional coffee ceremony is a special treat. Eat here. You won't be sorry.

This place is amazing! I normally get the 3 combo vegetarian plate, but I’ve had the meat dishes as well and let me tell you that they don’t disappoint. If you’re looking for an awesome honey wine, this location has the BEST!

One of the most authentic places I've been to recently! As someone who've been to Ethiopia and ate the OG version I'm telling you it's the same! The server is nice but the service is slow (all Ethiopian culture is like that) so it's not a place for a quick meal! You need to sit and enjoy the Ethiopian vibe that the restaurant offers.

(Feb 2 2024) ordered around 4 pm A lady by the name of Milan, if that's even the real name she gave me, provided horrible customer service. I will never order from this place again. I don't recommend anyone to go to Lucy's. There are much better Ethiopian restaurants available. The employees don't even speak English, and their customer service is terrible. They need to take a customer service class. It’s as if these people are slow mentally. I will report them to the Better Business Bureau because I believe most of them are illegal immigrants. I will be contacting ICE weekly. I spent a lot of money here and was not satisfied for the third time. Rest assured, I will call the appropriate authorities to have them investigated. I ordered a lamb dish, but they gave me beef. They also didn't provide any salad or cheese. It's just a terrible place. I had a bad experience with the food because of their incompetence. If you want to waste your money, go here, but you will be disappointed. I will be contacting ICE weekly.
