The older woman answering the phone has no customer service skills and neither does the owner. I would not waste my time in this establishment. The location in Luling Texas has way better customer service and treats customers kindly even for mistaken orders.

I love local no frills places like this. It is worth the drive off the interstate to try their BBQ. Sort of unique setup as you go thru a door in the restaurant to order your meat. You walk straight into their BBQ pit room - awesome. Order your meat and pay. The go up to the counter at the front of the restaurant and order drinks and sides. When it comes to meat. I would give their brisket a high mark - 4 5. I would give their ribs a 3 - dry. I came for the brisket so I was happy. Sauce was good. Potato salad was ok - sort of tasted like what you can buy in a big containers from Walmart. Prices are fair - comparable to other BBQ places.

I was introduced to Luling Market in Luling,TX as a little girl in the 1980’s… I recently discovered the Houston, Tx location while on vacation. When I opened the door the aroma brought back so many memories! Then I began eating on the juice and grease filled brown butcher paper which tickled my taste buds! All i can say is you must try it for yourself!

Luling City market has been a cornerstone of Luling for years. The ribs, sausage and beans are excellent. In the 20 years I’ve been eating there they just can’t seem to get the brisket down right. It’s usually dry even if you ask for marbled. We know they know how to Q but I think they are just buying poor cuts of cheaper beef. Jus sayin get your brisket right

The Q was bland. No smoke or other flavors on the brisket ribs or sausage. Maybe it was good before. There are far better bbq joints in the area and they are considered above avg. 35 bucks for a 3 meat plate and 2 sides. Way overpriced. I dont like leaving bad reviews but the food way nowhere the quality and flavor of any of Luling restaurants.
