We’ve tried this restaurant now 3 times, twice dinner and once brunch. Every time we have left feeling the same way: poor service with decent food. We went for brunch this past Sunday and were the only group in the restaurant when it opened and we had to ask 3 times for the overhead fan to be turned off. Service has lacked every single time we’ve been there with 3 different servers. There are FAR better restaurants in Houston than Lulu’s. You’re not missing anything at this restaurant which is unfortunate because its sister restaurant Armando’s is incredible.

I loved dining here! Pleasant atmosphere, delicious food and very good service and attention from Israel. Not to be missed are the pasta with artichoke and spinach and the caccio e pepe. For dessert, I normally don't like tiramisu but I loved the one here!!

Miguel, my bartender, had an extensive knowledge base of the menu and provided amazing recommendations. His understanding of wine and food pairings allowed for an enjoyable dining experience. I ordered the spaghetti con granchio and it exceeded all expectations! Well worth the price. I also ordered the Riporta Pinot Grigio wine that paired amazingly with my food. Chris, the manager of this establishment, checked on me and how all things was to my liking. Chris is very hospitable and has a pleasant professional personality. Rudy, a waiter at this establishment, exhibited professionalism and timeliness towards me. Thank you all for everything! I am greatly satisfied. I will absolutely be back!

It’s a nice cozy ambience and I feel the service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive to us throughout our visit. I ordered the gazpacho- a chilled soup-and it was as flavorful. I also had Chicken Milanesa served with mashed potatoes and an arugula salad. The chicken had a thin breading that was delicious. Overall I enjoyed the restaurant and hope to return and try other items on the menu. Free parking.
Parking: Shared parking with other stores and restaurants. I didn’t have any trouble this time but not sure if an evening visit to the restaurant would be different.

I just had one of the best dinners i've had in the past couple of years. The Bolognese was ridiculously good, I love how traditional the sauce is. The look and feel of the design of restaurant is modern yet cozy. Great spot in Houston and don't miss it. Ronald and Miguel are terrific.

My daughters & I were in Houston for a concert. We were staying at a downtown hotel & wanted to eat before said concert. We saw a familiar Mexican restaurant nearby & headed there. On the way, we passed a cute little place called Lulu’s, an Italian restaurant. We got to the Mexican place & it was SO crowded so I said let’s go try that Italian place a few blocks back. And we did. And it was awesome! It was a little fancier than we expected & we didn’t have a reservation, but Ronald ( host) welcomed us in anyway & that started a wonderful dining experience! We aren’t fancy-type people, but Ronald was so warm & accepting towards us. He came over & talked to us & made us laugh & feel so comfortable. Our waiter was wonderful (sorry, can’t remember his name) and also made us feel welcome. The food was delicious & each of us enjoyed the meals immensely. It was absolutely my favorite part of the weekend. Well, besides the concert. I gave Ronald a big hug when we left, then promptly embarrassed myself by taking a wrong step & falling down! ?. Ronald was definitely the best host at any restaurant I’ve ever been to. I recommend this restaurant for the wonderful food, but even more because the people they employ are so great! Thank you to Lulu’s & Ronald & no name waiter.
(I’m sorry dude!). ?❤️

UPDATE--We recently tried the Brunch. Again, HIGHLY recommend it. Every dish is perfection. I've also posted a picture of Miquel, an excellent waiter and bartender. Customer service is on point.
We always go for the Bolognese, and it was fantastic as usual. We brought my youngest, who is visiting from New York, and he absolutely loved his Branzino. The service is always top-notch. Last night, Luz attended us in the bar area.

We have been here several times and have always had a good experience until Sunday evening. A very light crowd and not busy at all yet our waiter was still missing. He was dismissive from the start. When our food came out, he set our food down and quickly walked away. I had to ask the other very attentive waiter for cracked pepper and a little extra dressing. Our waiter I guess thought I asked for salt so he came back and quickly put only the salt shaker down and walked away. He went to the bathroom at least 4 times while we were there and was in there about 10 minutes each time. I don’t believe he was actually going to the bathroom but maybe doing something else. His whole demeanor rubbed me the wrong way and even when he was walking to/from the restroom he never stopped to see if we needed anything. We always had to ask the other waiter. “D” is not a good waiter at all. I do not care to return after this experience. Also, I had 2 bites of my salad (that I ordered as my entree) and did not like the anchovies and was not noted on the menu nor did he ask if I wanted anchovies or not. The flavor was incredibly salty and bitter so I did not eat it. He didn’t even notice that I wasn’t eating my salad or ask if everything was ok. My husband really enjoyed his entree. The dessert was also delicious. But the service was awful.

I put in a Google search to look for an Italian restaurant and found a great location that I drove by plenty of times. I’m glad I stopped this time. The host Katlin was so friendly when she welcomed us in, and the waiter Isreal gave us the best customer service. We were given great recommendations on daily food and drink specials. The Caesar salad was the best. I look forward to returning.
My husband and I stopped in for dinner. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was relaxing yet upbeat. Will definitely be a new go to!
