Little bit of a dive, but functional. I went in there looking for empanadas. I also ordered yucca frita. (Fried yucca) The empanadas were great. Nice ground beef deep fried with the doughy empanada wrapper. The empanada was hot to the bite and i threw in there their special sauce. Very crispy and great flavor. I will return for those. The yucca fries were not that great. I was expecting a larger cut of the yucca as ive seen in El Salvador and Miami. I will stick to the empanadas. They do have a sampler style platter with tostones, or plantain fried and soft sweet style, pork, red beans and rice, yucca, empanada. Not a bad joint at all. Can definately go back there for those empanadas. I give the empanadas a five.

So damn good. I got the chicken and cheese empanadas with fries and those empanadas were absolutely delicious. They were fresh, hot, flaky, and full of fillings. They did not disappoint. Will definitely go again.

Best masa fritas ever and tostones. Everything else is good too . Fresh and hot, ready to go. No real dining ambience as such, I’ve never eaten there, but if you’re grabbing a quick bite it doesn’t matter. Food particularly good on weekends. Love this place.

Moved here from south Florida and after 4 years, I found the best place for masa frita and actually fresh maduros. Hot and fresh! Even shared a bit with my co-worker who’s from Miami and it brought good memories of home. 10/10 recommend!!

Went to pick up some empanadas for lunch and decided to try some of the other items on the menu. I wasn’t a fan of the buffalo wings. The pork empanada and masa frita were good…the pork was a little sweet for my taste. For dessert I got a pineapple empanada…great! Service was fast and food was fresh. Will be back again and will stick to the empanadas next time.

First time going to Lunitas To-Go is a small hidden gem in Houston, this place has the best Empanadas & wings the food is made with authentic, care, loving, ingredients, it's crispy, hot & fresh just above & beyond.
