When Lupe opened & for a number of years after it was 5 stars all the way. Over the last few years they seem to be short staffed & the food is still very good but not class leading as it once was. I'd still send out of state visitors here for good TexMex. They've found a way to have a vent blowing on every seat in the main dining area. If you don't like that the back dining room or the patio is better. On this visit they brought us some guac that was turning brown. Guac isn't my thing so I didn't care but my wife wasn't thrilled & the server was so busy he never checked back with us so we could get it replaced in a timely manner. He's a good server but simply had too many tables. We'll be back as this is a minor malfunction.

Why can’t they fill the margarita glass like at other Lupe Tortilla locations. One finger from the top feels underserved - other restaurants don’t do that - will stop coming here.
WORST TO-GO EXPERIENCE. I ordered for a future pickup time of 6:15pm at 5:00pm. Arrived in a pickup spot at 6:25pm and used their requested system of texting name and spot number. At least 3 times people came out asking for my name on the order and acting bewildered at my name as if they didn’t have anything with my name on it.
At some point someone who seemed like the manager came out and promised they were bagging it up (this was around 20 mins of waiting). Finally another 25 mins passed and I went inside. My order was just sitting there and the waitress handed it to me. Luckily I looked inside because half of my order was missing.
I get home and the tortillas with my order also were missing AND the food was cold! Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. No do order to go from here!

I had another great experience at Lupe Tortilla, and once again it absolutely delivered. This was the second location I’ve visited, and what really stands out is the consistency. The quality, flavor, and overall experience were just as good as the first time, which says a lot for a restaurant with multiple locations.
The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Everything tasted like it was made to order, with attention to detail that you don’t always get at larger, well-known restaurants. From the first bite to the last, the meal was satisfying and well balanced, without feeling heavy or overdone. You can tell they care about maintaining the same standards across locations, which builds a lot of trust as a customer.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere made it an easy place to relax and enjoy the meal. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to a different location, you know what you’re going to get—and that consistency is outstanding.
If you’re looking for fresh, delicious Tex-Mex with reliable quality and great taste, Lupe Tortilla is a solid choice every time. Highly recommended.

The food and drinks here are consistently fantastic. Chef Anna personally took the time to visit our table, ensuring everything met her high standards—though at Lupe’s, the quality is always exceptional. My go-to order is the steak fajitas, bacon-wrapped shrimp, and jalapeño sausage, which never disappoint. Starting the meal with their signature chips, salsa, and beans sets the perfect tone every time. 10/10—I’ll definitely be back.

We always love coming here no matter what the occasion. The service is great, the food is fresh and delicious, and the management is always super attentive to all customers. Also their menu has lots of options (vegetarian, pescatarian, etc) and prices are very reasonable compared to lots of other tex-mex restaurants.

DO NOT ORDER TO GO FROM HERE!!!! I love lupes food. I love their prices. However, we have ordered to-go from this location 15-20 times and EVERY time its always double the time they tell us for our food. Also, their curbside text method doesnt work, as I texted my name and number like it says and no response. After 15 min, I walk in and all of my food is just sitting on the counter. Manager of the to go area just walking around and putting all phone calls on hold. Not even answering them.
Just awful service and easily the worst Lupe in Houston. Wish they would fix it, but after 7 or so years of ordering from them, I assure you, they wont. ORDER FROM SUPERICA or CYCLONE ANAYAS or literally anywhere else. Youve been warned

Every time I try to give this place a chance I regret it. They tried to sit us at table 33 next to another party after we explained to the host we wanted a booth then our drinks and food took forever. We watched other people get their food before us. Horrible experience I was embarrassed.

Food is pretty good! I’ve been twice and it was consistent. I enjoyed salsas and guac as well as their enchiladas and steak and chicken fajitas. Biggest drawback is, I feel their rice is a little mushy. Overall, I would revisit.
