Atmosphere is fun, but the drinks we had we weren't good at all. Had the I'll never lychee go and the dragon highball from the happy hour menu. Didn't care for either. My wife also had a g&t and it was good. We ordered truffle soy dumplings as well and those were tasty.

What a cute speakeasy! Tucked inside a Chinese restaurant, this unsuspecting bar is such a treat to discover. On top of that, the drinks were exciting and delicious! I had the matcha gin drink which blended so much more perfectly than I could have imagined. Also tried the salty kitty; a little too sweet for me but love the contrast and creativity of the salty foam and sweet drink underneath.Bartenders are knowledgeable, helpful and playfully sassy. Great convo and insight on the menu.Don't tell anyone about this place so we can keep it to ourselves! We'll be back soon for dumplings!!

My friends and I were looking for a place to grab a drink after dinner. Since we weren't as familiar with the area, we browsed Yelp and decided to give Meo Bar a try. I didn't realize it was a speakeasy until I pulled into the parking lot. Parking was plentiful which is always a plus. We browsed some reviews to figure out where to go. Once inside the restaurant (Wokker HTX), we were still confused as there weren't any employees at the counter. A couple who was inside eating helped us out and eventually we made our way inside. The set up is essentially counter service. Order at the bar and they'll bring your drink to you. They do offer light bites, but we didn't order any food. The cocktails are very pretty and very good! I had the Meo G&T and Brenda's Violet Hour. I enjoyed both drinks. My friends had the Honey Bear and the Mui. My friend wanted to order one of the mocktails, but they ran out of ingredients for the drink, so they ended up comping one of her drinks. They have a good amount of tables and booths that can accommodate small and larger groups. The decor was cool and it was such a chill vibe.

We arrived and it took a minute for the bartender to get the door (they should make it so the door opens up by it self instead of having the busy bartender open the door each time people arrive) we sat down, looked at the menu and the bartender let us know to order at the bar. They bring the drinks and food to your table. The cocktails are great, the food not so much IMO. The dumplings are the only food items that are salvageable. The prices are average.

…pretty disappointing experience.Hidden speakeasy inside Wokker. When we ring the bell - nobody opened the door - we had to wait until some customer left and opened the door. The interior and atmosphere is pretty “trippy”. The lights and the music let you feel a bit like on mushrooms. Fun but also very simple…this is not an upscale place at all.The worst thing about this bar are the drinks. The Yule old fashioned had a very weird taste and it was so bad that I couldn’t even finish half of it. Also the Meo Gin Tonic had strange aftertaste and was overall not a tasty gin tonic at all.I also cannot recommend kimchi dumplings - the kimchi is not a real kimchi. It was more like some poorly marinated cabbage. The dumpling filling not flavorful.

Wow! My friends and I checked this place out last night after being told about it by some neighbors. I had no idea this cute Speakeasy was right down the street. The ambiance was great, they had a DJ Playing and the music was fun. The service was amazing, fast, friendly and efficient. The flavors from every dish were so good and different. So good, that I didn't want to add any hot sauce or chili oil and I add it everything usually. The Brussel Sprouts had these yellow dried berries that were so delicious and really completes the dish. Brisket eggrolls, were so soo good! The Pad Thai had a really nice kick to it and to be honest was one of the best pad Thais I've ever had We will definitely be back

I love places that have an air of mystique so I've made it my business to experience every hidden or secret speakeasy Houston has to offer. This one is inside of the Wokker on Airline Dr. I loved it! I didn't try the food but I plan to the next time. The kitchen was already closed when I arrived. The service was great and the drinks go down really smooth. First time I ever had a cognac with no bite. The ambiance is cozy, trendy, casual, laid back, and a real vibe and has cute Asian aesthetics, with a splash of hippy, trippy, neon lights.

A little difficult to find but that's the way it's supposed to be. I love it. Excellent cocktails.

Great place. Actually locating it inside of Wokker was a bit of an adventure. Once inside, the dark interior and colorful design set a great mood. Our drinks were fantastic as was the food. For this type of speakeasy and the quality of food, the prices were really remarkable. Would definitely come again. It is very small, so I felt fortunate we were able to be seated quickly (Friday night, 930ish).

The vibe is immaculate. The whole theme of the speakeasy was definitely unique, and who doesn’t love a good Asian inspired themed bar? My friends and I had more than a great time, but we weren’t complete sold on the drinks despite how aesthetic they looked. Brenda’s Violet Hour was a fan favorite for us (the pink drink with purple, circular ice cube).

This cute and cozy hideaway of a speakeasy is a good spot for either a small group of friends (six tops) or date night. My favorite things about Meo: flavorful food choices, creative drinks, and there's an actual parking lot. Actual parking lot, y'all! That's hard to come by in the area. We arrived around 7:30 on a Saturday night and there were only a few other tables occupied. By the time we left around 9pm, the place was nearly full. Food recommendations: Brussels and the kimchi chicken dumplings.
