Waitress was great at first but then everything took a long time. The last drink came with dinner while everyone else had them at apps. A kid came in screaming and even though the restaurant was rather empty, they put their table right next to ours. Food was delicious .

We ate at this restaurant for both lunch and dinner. The food was very fresh and the servings were large and satisfying. Our server Tarsha was amazing. The service here from all of the staff was excellent.

All the food was great and server was very nice. It's a pretty busy setting so a little noisy but not too bad. Nice option for dinner if staying at the JW or have an event in that part of town.

I really enjoyed it. The waiter catered to our every need! My wife and i were very comfortable.,The Ambience was Nice and Staff was Awesome with Menu and drink knowledge,Worth Christmas Day Excellence.

I enjoyed Main Kitchen on Christmas Eve and elected to have their Christmas “Experience” which was a 3 course meal. All courses were excellent and each family member selected a different course. My personal favorite was the leek soup with crabmeat. I look forward to going back and enjoying the food of their daily menu.

Main Kitchen has come to be one of our "go to" places before theatre performances in Downtown Houston. The food and service are excellent and you can actually have a conversation with your tablemates!

Ordered the chicken pesto pasta salad for lunch. It was fantastic! The restaurant had such great decor, modern cook vibe. Loved it! The service was excellent! Will definitely be coming back and would recommend to anyone.

From Nashville, TN to Houston, TX. I had originally chose the place because I saw online that they had cauliflower steak, however, they did not have it. I did find other vegan options and that did make me smile. I had the buffalo cauliflower and the curry soup. Both were very delicious. They serve Uncle Nearest 1856 and that definitely made me happy. Great service, good food, and nice ambiance. It is connected to the hotel, we stayed past closing and they just let us take our time and enjoy the night.

The bbq pizza was delicious. Sort of an odd set or issues. Seating options are plentiful, but some spills that fell on the floor were not addressed. Our waitress spilled a whole container of red pepper flakes and it remained on the floor next to our table until the end of our meal, approximately 25 minutes

I was hesitant when I saw the layout of Open Kitchen; it is definitely "open..." That being said, I promise you the food & service will not disappoint! We had one of the best meals we've had this year, with both delicious meals and delightful service. The chef was accommodating to my husband's requests and our plates were gorgeous. I wish I had made note of our server's name because she was truly lovely. So personable and genuine. They are lucky to have her!

Positives and negatives. Positive - the food was good. Negatives - expected more on the menu from other reviews and the biggest negative was my husband and I each order a Diet Pepsi each getting 2 refills . The glasses were on the smaller side and price was $5 each. We spent $30 on Diet Pepsi- could not see this on the menu nor did the server mention.....absolutely ridiculous and because of this will never return or recommend.

This restaurant is very pretty inside and has a great ambiance! We got the empanadas and the meatballs as appetizers and they were delicious. The fish tacos and apple salad were amazing too. So many things to choose from. It's a little pricey! Especially a glass of Prosecco for $16 but it was delicious. It's a great restaurant close to the Hobby Center so it's a nice place for dinner before a show.

Located right in the heart of downtown, Main Kitchen is a great place for lunch. It can get busy so a reservation is probably a good idea. They offer friendly and fast service with many great options on the menu, and the brussel sprouts are a favorite every time I go! Definitely recommend.

I usually have a good experience here, though I know to dress warm as the AC runs cool, and sometimes can be a bit noisy, but not too bad. I enjoyed the butternut squash risotto with shrimp, but this time they managed to burn the brussels sprouts and still served them - tells me the quality control is lacking a bit. Overall, I enjoy coming to this place for lunch, on business or with colleagues.
