Dinners with Dad, Lunch edition, Houston prefecture, episode 732-ish…dad was craving jambong but he can’t eat spicy anymore so we originally were all geeked up to go to Paik Noodle House (which is a chain from Koreans favorite chef) but they were closed on Tuesdays and not sure if ‘geeked up’ described my dad’s demeanor but it makes for a better story…found this place not far from Paik’s in the 5th layer of Houston…one lady running the front and a little Hispanic...
Fantastic hole in the wall Korean noodle restaurant. Service was friendly and quick and the food was tasty and we felt like we were at our parents' house. Authentic and delicious!
This place so so cute—eating here feels like home. We had some amazing dishes and they provide great kimchi and pickled radish to start. We loved that the menu was relatively small and they specialized in just a few dishes. I recommend the chewy noodles.
