As a visiting vegetarian I struggle to find food that does more than just provide energy, this feeds the soul and tastes amazing.

Such an underrated gem! We loved the vibe of the place and the food was delicious! We had the margarita flatbread and the prima penne pasta both were so good!
Highly recommend for date nights or just a cozy meal with friends. Doesn’t even matter if you’re vegan or not the food is delicious on its own.

Wow! Amazing food! Just ordered on Door Dash and not only is the food absolutely delicious but also they included utensils and napkins. I will be ordering again. Love to see a vegan and gluten free option here in Houston.

I'm vegan but my husband is not and we love this spot. It's romantic, sweet, special. The food is fresh and delicious. You don't need to be vegan to love this place. Good wine and alcohol selections as well. The service is always wonderful. Prices are very good. One of my faves!

My partner and I have visited mantra a few times and have also ordered food to go. Each time the food has been very tasty and fresh. Each ingredient seems to be chosen and prepared with intention and care. I am vegan but my partner is a carnivore and we both love the plantain nachos. He asked on his own to come back after our initial visit for the delicious food. I’ve also had the Rasta pasta, which was also delicious. Both meals are not like any dish I’ve had before, but feel like comfort food at the same time. Very tasty and nourishing. I can’t wait to try more dishes! This place is a gem.

They really figured out a lot of unique and delectable recipes at this creative restaurant. Very nice ambience as well and a friendly owner.
Good fuel after pickleball. It was super tasty!
We tried two appetizers: the Brussels sprouts were very good! Nice and crispy with a delicious balsamic sauce. The coconut calamari was excellent. I wasn’t expecting that and only ordered on the owners(?) suggestion. We ordered the plantain nachos; Crunchy plantains with a dairy free queso, black beans and arugula, which was my favorite of the entrees. The Rasta Pasta; it had lots of veggies and a spicy “creamy” sauce. The Mushroom Masala; this one wasn’t my favorite but not sure that there was anything particularly wrong with it. Just wasn’t for me. On to dessert! We got the hibiscus cheesecake and the Oatmilk ice cream. The cheesecake was alright on its own but not quite sweet enough. The ice cream was creamy, sweet, and delicious. If you ate the two together it was fantastic. I’d highly recommend just ordering both and eating together. All in all it was a great experience. I would say everything needs a tad bit of salt to elevate and bring out the flavors. But that’s my opinion and salt is on the table ;)

Had the Plantain Nachos and Yucca Fries at mantra. Both were great. Really impressed with the slinly sliced and lightly fried plantains. Great mixture of ingredients on top, easy to eat and delicious. Yucca Fries had a great dipping sauce. Nice vibes in here, definitely would recommend.
Amazing food! I thought it was vegetarian and was so surprised to find out it was totally vegan and gluten-free! I truly didn’t miss anything. Packed with flavours and spices.
Cute decor. Was a little hard to find but totally worth it.
Great place. Highly recommend and we’ll be back.

What a beautiful restaurant! The food was spectacular- I can’t wait to visit Houston again so I can come try more of their food! Also, the staff was so friendly ✨✨
Mantra in Houston truly surprised us with its incredible flavors! Finding a dedicated gluten-free restaurant can be a challenge, but Mantra delivered. Our group, which included several with celiac, raved about the perfectly crisped and mildly seasoned yucca fries, the exquisite mushrooms in the Korean BBQ tacos, and the exceptionally flavorful jackfruit on the buffalo pizza. The nachos, featuring perfect plantains, were a highlight, thanks to Chef Rodney's dedication. With great ambiance and delicious options, Mantra is a fantastic spot for both vegetarians and those with gluten sensitivities.
Parking is defenetly an issue, but it 2is a great vegetarian place. You can't go wrong. The food is fantastic!!!!
